My body every time I workout:

“He’s damaged his muscles again? Obviously he doesn’t want them, quick atrophy them to shit and use all the nutrients for building more fat!”

No matter what I fucking do. This plateau is unbeatable. I work out more, or at higher intensity, I lose muscle. I work out less, I lose muscle. I do the same workout, nothing happens. I eat more, I get fat. I eat less, I lose muscle. I take more roids, my blood work goes haywire.

It would be fine if I didn’t look completely fucking DYEL. I don’t even understand how I can have this body type on TRT while spending 6 hours a week training hard and 6 hours a week on cardio and eating 100% clean, no alcohol, no drugs, no sweets, no junk. It is fucking bullshit. Most guys who have never set foot in a gym or touched a weight look better.

outline your training programming, diet, lifestyle and how much you sleep.

any drugs? supplements?

we need more specifics.

Work out more than what? how do you know you are losing muscle? how do you know its not just glycogen/fulnesss? how much more are you eating when "you get fat"?

I’m just bitching because I failed my set tbh.

Training: PPLPP (fuck legs) 2-4 sets per group per workout
Diet: high protein, maintenance, clean, no alcohol
Supplements: all of them at this point
Drugs: 150mg test and 140mg anavar a week
Lifestyle: stressed out wagie in the cagie and also brokie (cortisol well off the top of the scale at last blood check)
Sleep: 8-9 hours

Lifestyle is the only really bad one I think but it’s not like I’m living this way because I want to be… is high cortisol and life stress enough to make it IMPOSSIBLE to gain muscle like this?

I don’t know if I’m really losing muscle but I am definitely losing strength from workout to workout, it feels pointless.

by training programming we mean your complete program, sets, reps, proximity to failure, rest times, exercise selection. restdays? 2-4 sets pr muscle group sounds like maintenance voliume to me. How long have you been training with this current setup/volume/frequency/intensity? how long have you been lifting in general? what programs have you tried and whats the experience been like?

When was the last time you had a deload? a high carb day?

so you arent even eating in a surplus and no mention of food selection, amoiunt of carbs, protein and fats. "high protein" is sorta objective. That could be 200g or it could be 450g depending on who you ask.

"all of them", i doubt that.

fix your stress and lifestyle, that can fuck you over.

Nice amount of sleep.

You are probably training too much/hard or not enough/hard enough and not eating enough, and limiting your recovery by stressing yourself out.

I'm more of a low volume high intensity person too but you are talking about 4-8 working sets per week and wondering why you aren't growing?

140 mg test and 20 mg Anavar day is no more than an elevated TRT/ maintenance dose. Definitely not going to blow you up and hulk you out. Im curious as to how long you have been lifting and living the lifestyle. This is a long game with a lot of trial and error along the way.

I had a look back through my training log and I’m just ego lifting and grinding against the same rep maxes when I should be deloading and following the periodisation plan. “Having an off day” - two off days, three, ten, twenty…

I can see that being the primary problem tbh. Too focused on the outcomes and losing track of the process.

I’ve been on TRT since 2018 and lifting since 2014.
My blood work is too bad to take anything more than this at the moment. I am hovering around 200 lbs at 6’2” with 17% BF

I think, and this is just me, your cycle is a bit light for what you're expecting. I also think you're overtraining. 6 days a week, multiple sets? I know we're all different, but I guess it sort of depends on what works for you. I have been tinkering with HIT. Break your body parts to be trained into 3. One heavy set of 6-10 reps per each body part and it should be to failure, wait 3 whole days before training the next set of body parts. This means you won't train group 1 again until 9 whole days have passed. It took a long time for yours truly to realize, you don't grow in the gym. You grow because you've threatened the body sufficiently to cause an attempt at growth, and you do so during your rest days, i.e. during those days between gym sessions.

Maybe up your testosterone, I know this sounds cookie cutter, but maybe 500ish/week. Double the dose of anavar. See how this works for you. ? . ?

Oops, I need to correct myself here.
I missed where you said this, "My blood work is too bad to take anything more than this at the moment"

Correct this issue, it's better to be healthy. Don't put yourself in jeopardy. You need to journey into correcting your blood work. What's wrong with it? Lots of folks here can help you with this for sure.

Change your fucking attitude! Not being a dick, I'm serious. Your mind is the most powerful muscle you got. Mind over matter. Want to be happy then DECIDE to be happy. Life sucks and eats shit most days... for everyone. But some people chose to look at the positive and be thankful and happy.
Ok I'm done with the motivational seminar.

so

u have provided us with ppl small pp split and low volume.

thanks no one can fix it besides you.

if you're too stupid or lazy hire a coach.

you clearly dont know yourself what is causing you to not make any progress. and you are on fucking anavar?

im pretty sure u can sleep 2 hours, train 2 sets a month and still get stronger/bigger on anavar. unless you dont train or eat 500 calories a day

Eat more. Lift more. Pin more.
You probably also need a different job, different girlfriend, different friends, better hobbies, but the majority here do too, so no need to be emo about it or anything.

Have you tried eliminating cardio for a while? Too much concurrent training can be a show stopper for muscle growth. Not joking.

Dudes just spiritually ghey stop trying to give him advice besides showering and meeting a nice girl at the library
