Berberine/merformin and protein synthesis

I've ran a combo of Metformin and Berberine for as long as I can remember. 500mg Metformin XR in the AM then 400mg of berberine in MCT/Lecithin gels at noon and night with meals.

I've known that they can impact muscle growth to a degree, but I've been reading about it more and more lately.

Do they impact protein synthesis enough to warrant dropping at least berberine if not both? Or are we talking about something relatively minimal.

I've been using Metformin at 500mg am/pm for sometime now. When I first started I read somewhere that it could reduce pump or have an affect on pump but I could never tell a difference after starting it. I think it might have been just some bro opinion. In my experience the benefits of Metformin outweigh any miniscule hindrance of protein synthesis or pump, that is of course after my body adjusted to it and I stopped shitting my brains out.

I don't know what your regiment looks like but with gear and hgh and proper diet I don't think it's anything to worry about. For me I'm more worried about my diet and getting enough protein/carbs in everyday with a busy schedule.
 
It's not significant enough to be a concern. It's like worrying about elevated estrogen levels from eating cottage cheese. If you're enhanced and using it as a supplement, there's no need to overthink it.

With resistance training and gear or even TRT, minimal imo.

I haven't seen anything about berberine and human muscle growth... unlike metformin (study).

Haven't seen negative studies on berberine.
