Declined cash app transaction

First time I’ve ever been declined sending money out of cash app to another wallet. I was making a purchase from reliable rx and my cash app won’t let me send money out. Any suggestions?

You're not trying to send directly from cashapp to a source are you....? You are sending to a separate wallet first... Right??

I’m afraid I’ll look dumb saying this but… yes. I’ve always directly sent to the sources wallet

I’m not sure I understand why. How do they know what wallet is what?

Any recommendations of wallets? I’m not super crypto savvy. I just do the basics
I agree with you. There's no way cash app magically knows you're sending to a illegal drug source. How do they know the difference between wallets addresses to your brother in England, your personal wallet, and a source?

If anything, the wallet address you were given was flagged. Hopefully sources use new addresses everytime. I'd let whoever you were trying to send to know. You need to try and send to another address now to see if you even can, like a personal one. Do you have the option to still transfer btc?

There are many variables to take into account. Did you receive any email why they are denying btc transactions to external wallet? Have you attempted to transact with another external wallet? Have you contacted support?

Only example to give is: from wells fargo i send to another bank. That bank accuont im sending money too could be flagged for 'x' reason. same applies to crypto. But usually the bank will say hey cant send it here, but you can send to another bank account. The persian prince asking you to send him money is a good example. Those accounts get flagged eventually. Sources should also be creating fresh wallets too.

You can download a software wallet for Windows or Apple. Could be iOS or android friendly too (check reviews). Could be a browser extension for example MetaMask.

Yea. They haven’t seemed to block my account yet. Just wouldn’t let me send that out. I’ll have to try a small transfer to another wallet

They didn’t email me or provide a reason. I had to contact them via chat and they just told me it violated their terms

I haven’t tried another wallet yet. I will

Wallets get flagged for suspicious behavior. Haven't you heard of people's Coinbase accounts getting closed for sending directly to source wallets? It happens all the time.

The "paper trail" is available for the entire world to see. Every bitcoin transaction is visible to anyone who looks in a public ledger.

They know. And this is how (see thread link below).

[Keep in mind this thread was posted in 2014, so the ability to map real-world identities, and identify addresses associated with criminal activity have advanced greatly.]

Also, this thread

[Many if not most crypto exchanges will know where you are sending the transaction as many as 4 "hops" or more.]

It's far beyond simple manual flagging of suspicious accounts at this point.

I have actually. I don’t know where to begin as far as what wallet to get. Any suggestions?

Bro how much was you trying to send that could have had something to do with it as well.
