Shortness of breath

For the past few days ive been running into shortness of breath. Its not extreme or anything but noticeable.

Historically, rapid weight gain has given me this issue. Certain things that put weight on me very rapidly such as Dianabol or MK-677 have given me this issue in the past. But im not on anything right now nor lately.

I am also very active regarding cardio related activities. I jog almost everyday, i swim almost everyday, im a very active person, i also have pretty low bodyfat.

Whats going on? I have not gained a ton of weight recently, so im not sure why its happening. My oxygen saturation is around 98 and my heart rate is pretty normal.

Wondering if this could maybe be a blood issue? Thinking i should run bloods, ive never had a phlebotomy (unless blood work counts as one). Last time i ran bloods like 5 years ago my hematocrit was slighty above top end of range but everything else was normal. My doc who got me the blood work suggested i should consider getting a phlebotomy to help drop my hematocrit. I never did. To note at the time i was not having any issues.

Whats your guys thoughts? Think this is blood related? Will a phlebotomy make a difference?

Bloods and urinalysis are in.

Anyone have comments on this?

Creatinine is above top end but only marginally, im not sure of the significance given i eat a higher than average persons protein diet.

Interestingly red blood cell presence in urine is way above refrence range but no remarks were made. Unsure of what this indicates.

Neutrophils slightly above reference range.

To note, had COVID back in early January and been hanging out with COVID positive people daily since, have not gotten noticeably sick since the bout in early January.

Sounds like high RBCS/sludgy blood is the issue. Perhaps look into a phlebotomy or hear what your doctor says.

Blood work results dispute that though, pretty much middle of reference ranges on almost everything.

My doc said everythings good on the labs, creatinine is where she expects it given my lifestyle. I had also fasted without water for 10+ hours before bloods so was pretty dehydrated which can also effect creatinine level.

Just got a chest xray and ECG, will get results tomorrow.

Blood pressure is 100/80, so no issues there.

Thinking this may be from upping caloric intake too rapidly, gym reopened feb 1st and i immediately upped my kcals by 1000/day to put on weight. If everythings good with the heart then im guessing this is the culprit. Since posting this thread ive been running a deficit and feel better, but my goals to run a big surplus not a deficit.

Every time I've got Covid (3 times now), I've had issues getting a deep breath for months after.

I have also heard of people "only getting 3/4 of a lung full of air" for a while after covid. I experienced it too around 2021 after a bad sickness, no clue if it was covid but my symptoms matched. Anecdotes nonetheless

Maybe you bros are right. But lets assume i was still battling COVID, wouldnt my blood work indicate my body was fighting an infection?

Also oddly, ive been jogging daily and my joggings as good as its ever been, im not getting any breathing issues from the physical exertion. Im running farther and faster than i have at anytime during this pandemic shit actually.

I am however finding myself more winded than usual by the end of my weight lifting. Mixed signals.

Just remember that if you train to failure in your sets like most of us do - then you will always be out of breath at the end. Some exercises such as BB row's and deads will be worse than others such as bench and curls etc. What tends to differ is how quickly you get your wind back, that can greatly depend upon how much food you have eaten beforehand, how fatigued you were still from previous sessions and how much testosterone you are running. I find the more test I have in me the less winded I am - compounds such as anadrol and trenbolone also leave me feeling gassed.

Chest xray and ECG results are in.

Xray findings:
- There are no definite parenchymal infiltrates in both lungs
- heart is not enlarged
- diaphragm and sulci are intact
- vissualized osseous structures are unremarkable

Impression: unremarkable chest xray

So xrays all good. Now the ECG, heres where it gets interdasting:

Findings:
- Sinus bradycardia
- poor R-wave progression

Heart rate: 52 BPM (wow!)

So wtf is Sinus Bradycardia? Its a slow heart rate between 40-60 BPM. Interestingly, its rather common in athletes, particularly endurance athletes and even sometimes weight lifters.

Am i an endurance athlete? Not professionally, but i jog everyday, i swim almost everyday, i go surfing sometimes for up to 8 hours straight, i go freediving sometimes 6+ hours at a time swimming 5-10km or more and when possible i do it 7 days a week. Ontop of all that i lift weights. Ive been lifting weights on/off since i was 14 years old, ive been freediving since i was 11 years old. Ive basically been exceptionally active my entire life and continue to be even at age 37. In someone like me is Sinus Bradycardia to be expected? I dont know as im not a cardiologist.

Slow R-wave progression, well now this one gets scarry. Leading causes are anterior myocardial infraction (wtf, did i have a heart attack i am unaware of?), right or left ventricular hypertrophy (wouldnt the Xray have captured that?), or poorly placed leads during the ECG (the technician did struggle to get the leads to properly stick to my body, taking over 10 minutes to get them attached).

So what now? Likely will be getting a 2d echocardiography next.

So i went away on a surfing/freediving trip over the weekend. Whilst freediving i could not get my ear pressure to equalize, after an hour i gave up and swam back to shore upon which time i expelled a massive gob of orangey-yellow thick mucus, biggest mucus gob ive ever expelled had to be like 2-3 tbsps of mucus, looked infected as fuck based on the color.

Next day i developed a sore throat. Yesterday i wake up with the most painful headache ive ever had, and im struggling to breath feeling pretty lightheaded. Oximeter had my o2 as low as 92, fluctuating minute by minute between 92 to 97 then back to 92. Nebulized a boatload of salbutamol just so i could breath. Headache still persists to today, if i move my head in any direction it aches like crazy, only stops hurting if i hold my head still. O2 is 98 now though, shortness of breath minimal.

Possibly have COVID, again? Or maybe i never fully recovered since my first bout over new years. Unsure whats going on with me. Assuming its COVID. Not feeling to good right now but better than yesterday.

Currently drugged up on a plethora of shit, running the following cycle for COVID gainz:
Nebulized salbutamol
Ambroxol
Acetaminophen
Fluimucil
Acetylcysteine
Lianhua Qingwen Jiaonang

Thought i was over this shit. Not sure if i was reinfected or if my initial infection never truly went away. I had noticed that since my first illness start of January anytime i coughed my head ached severely but only for the moment i was coughing then disappears.

So thats whats going on right now.

Covid in january for sure effected the efficiency of my lungs and due to me already having slightly elevated blood pressure i feel covid hurt my ace receptors(system?) As well. My ear pressure when swimming(i do it 4-5x a week) was fucked. I even ended up with real bad tmj which just has gone away.

Go sign up for the Anabolic Doc, this would be one hell of a question to ask him.

I would suggest getting a echocardiogram or stress test.

Definitely in my plans. Maybe this weekend if im feeling better. At this moment im feeling sick though. The sore throat is pretty indicative of viral or bacterial infection as is the discolored mucus. The headache (really migraine level intensity) could be anything but paired with the sore throat seems likely to be of the same origin.

The shortness of breath, harder to say. Could be COVID, could be something else. I had it for weeks before i developed these recent symptoms. But with that said, COVID does some mysterious stuff and plays out differently in different people.

any water retention around ankles? can you breath lying flat?
Shortness of breath was the first thing (along with water retention) when my heart insufficiency flared up

Nope no retention and i breath fine laying. When you say heart insufficiency whats the actual cause? As in like, whys your heart insufficient?

I was diagnosed with PVCs (premature ventricular contractions) like 6 years ago but it was not a consistent thing. I had worn a holter monitor for 24 hours and the cardiologist told me a handful of times during that period my heart would have a PVC but not in a consistent manner. He recommended nothing and said it was pretty common and that nobodies heart beats perfectly 100% of the time. I used to get occassional palpitations back then but have not had them for years (i think smoking herb was causing it as id get the flutters most often when i would blaze), i dont really blaze anymore though.

i have a genetic cardiomyopthy (NON-COMPACTION Cardiomyopathy)
high doses of crappy quality (high dimer) hgh led to high water retention for me which led to decompensation of the heart failure (so it went into acute stage and led to some damage to the heart). My Mitral valve is highly impacted, the other valves only "medium"
