Path to a 500 wilks

Weight today was 191.2

Workout was,

X1 deadlift @ 675lbs
3x3 deadlift @ 545lbs
3x5 spoto press @ 300lbs
4x15 neutral grip pullups

Didn't really feel good today. Then had my buddy talk me into doing some dabs with him and going into the city to hit the gym. Ended up loading up 7 plates and hit it pretty decent for being pretty stoned and down 3lbs from yesterday.
You think being high hinders your performance? I know some people that smoke quite a bit around the gym and some are also very strong. They usually wait to get high until after the gym,lol

Not really. It dulls down your aggressiveness a lot, but I don't feel it actually really takes weight off the bar. Maybe for some people it might. But my aggression is naturally a 14/10, so it just brings me down to like a 7/10. Lol. Still pretty high.

Random update:

With how things have been going lately I'm feeling pretty good about 1700-1750 sometime late spring or early summer. I'm only about a year and a half behind schedule. Lol. But I feel I could definitely squat 600 in sleeves before too long if I keep bringing up my weak points. That should also make me deadlift more and I already feel my deadlift is damn near 700lbs ATM if grip wasn't an issue. I've held 635 to lockout before, but that was once. Lol. So I'll be working the shit out of my grip this off season. As far as bench, I'm going to keep building up my shoulders and triceps and focus on keeping my shoulders healthy and mobile. I know a 400+ bench is there if I can just keep working up in weight slowly and stay healthy.

Bench is tough at sub 200lbs. I've pulled 650-660lbs weighing in the 190lbs, but I think my best ever bench at that weight was 370ish. If it's 24 hour weigh ins swell up with as much water weight as you can post weigh in. It'll help with bench.

Yeah. I figured I'll just build up to a 420ish bench next off season so that way even with losing a few pounds before the meet I should still be good for 400. Or get lucky and match my gym lift, but I'm not holding my breath. Lol

Weight today was, 191.2

Workout was,

X1 squat @ 525lbs @ rpe 8
3x8 2ct paused bench @ 275lbs

I think the 365 bench might've been harder than I was hoping because it was a new bench I've never used and it was really slippery. Squat felt smooth today, I definitely had 545 in me. Bench felt unusually light as well, so that made me happy. Supposed to be rpe 8ish and the last set was a 6.

Morning weight today. Will probably float around 188-190 in the morning, then just do a quick water cut to 181. At this point it seems pointless to compete at 198. I ended up not doing my cycle like I planned and definitely didn't add enough size to justify the higher weight class. Lol. So I'll just wait until after this meet, then probably run a off-season bulk cycle.

Well.... Just got the email that the meet was cancelled. Kind of figured that would happen since it was in chicagoland. Sucks that basically less than a week out they finally cancelled. Not sure what to do now. Might just finish slimming down the last 6-8lbs I want to lose to be shredded again and start building back up. Just sucks because this was an Arnold qualifier and there's no way I'm finding another qualifier by the end of the year. Lol

Fucking red states is where its at with the COVID shit. Strongest man, bodybuilding and powerlifting alike, USPA nationals in a city very very near me, in 2021. so after I qualify I should be going to nationals.

I'll probably be going there too since this is a uspa meet and I would like to go to a more competitive one afterwards. If I wasn't out of state my openers would basically break the current state records at this one. Lol.

Hopefully I'll be a little stronger at nationals too so I don't get embarrassed. Lol
