Vice presidential fact check

Good point and i get what you're saying/writing, But From a purely economic standpoint, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 has been a mixed bag.

Let's start with jobs. Has the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act created millions of new jobs, ? Nope. In the four years before the GOP tax law, the economy added an average of 213,000 jobs each month, that's not something i'm pulling out my ass, that's data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In the nearly two years after it passed, job creation declined by an average of 11,000 per month.
The White House promised that the tax cuts would result in an https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/whitehouse.gov/files/documents/Tax%20Reform%20and%20Wages.pdfage increase annually of $4,000 per household. not even close. Again, In the two years since the law passed, wage growth, after accounting for inflation, rose only slightly, from 1% to just under 1.4% per year for nonsupervisory workers . That amounts to less than $400 for a full-time worker.
We also have been told, that tax cuts for the rich are good for the overall economy. In the four years before the law passed, real GDP grew by an annual average rate of about 2.4%, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the nearly two years since, the GDP growth rate has inched only slightly higher to an annual average of 2.5%.
The claim that a huge tax cut for the wealthy and corporations would trickle down to everyone else was based on an outdated and discredited set of ideas for how the economy works. In that old framework, the way to produce a better economy is to get out of the way of job creators and let the free market do the rest. A tax cut for corporations, then, should have reduced the cost of capital and induced them to invest more, which ultimately is supposed to create jobs and push up wages.
But even that first step never happened. In the last two years, the growth rate of private direct investment has declined. In the four years before the law passed, private direct investment grew by about 3.3% annually, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. In the two years after the law was enacted, that rate went down to 2.5%.

The idea that tax cuts aimed at corporations and the rich would help all of us is flawed. Because that's not how the economy works in real life. Corporations don't make investment decisions based on tax giveaways.

On jobs, I encourage you to look a little more closely at the real numbers, rather than somebody's article that "averages" the jobs per month after the tax cut, to include the corona virus recession.

Why 661,000 Million Jobs Were Added in September

You can actually run your mouse over each month and see the numbers for yourself.

For example, January 2018, 121k, Feb 2018 406k . . .

Don't be so obsessed with jobs as if it's a panacea for all that ails modern man.

This is mostly the puritanical view that to suffer is noble, it's also a dangerous view if people continue with this facade indefinitely.

Lets take a look at those jobs created, it's said about 40% of all jobs are total bullshit, they are grossly inefficient and overall serve no purpose at all.

Trump is tossing out jobs as the cure all for everything, but lets ask what those jobs are. Do they address "actual" needs(both in product and purpose), or is it just something to occupy people to keep them out of trouble as the government assumes.

I wish people would be a little more critical of the bullshit the government feeds you. If a job actually needs to be done, the government doesn't need to get involved, it will get done if the market demands it, if it's not really needed than cast it aside and look for work or no work, but don't just target the maximum number of people trapped in a 8 to 12hr slog where they spend basically 50% of their life at a job they hate so an employer can keep track of them instead of the police.

In this modern age and digital plantation we live, a job is a record of where you have been and what you have been doing. It's a means by which we keep an eye on you, without having to actually assign a state spy. It's another tentacle of the police state, it keeps track and it extracts funds to keep itself going.

So a job isn’t there to support your family, feed your family, put a roof over their head, teach them work ethic, give a sense of self worth, or to make yourself a better person through hard work? Just because I dislike my job I work 40-60 hours a week at doesn’t mean it’s a shitty job or something just to occupy my time with. Money, vacation, healthcare, and the above are all provided through that job.

An entry level job to someone who doesn’t have one provides a sense of self worth, accomplishment, and starts them on a path to hopefully wanting to better themselves through learning more or obtaining new skills to move forward and progress through the job market.

Jobs aren’t evil, and are a sign of an economy doing better if the numbers are moving in the right direction.

It really depends how deeply you have looked at this matter.

If most of the jobs are bullshit, if most of them serve no real purpose to our survival and mostly just an obsession with obtaining objects to cause our brains to release dopamine then you have no choice but to face the existential question head on. Do I need to perform this bullshit job, does this bullshit job serve a purpose, if this bullshit job disappeared tomorrow would humanity fall over and die.

It's really just a form of mutual masturbation, I stroke you off and you stroke me off and we feel better about ourselves.

Jobs aren't evil, I never said they were evil. What I'm asking is if they serve a real purpose for most people or is it just something to keep up appearances and maintain respect in a community and family.

You start asking these kinds of questions and you become a real motherfucker to society, but someone needs to stare into the abyss, the void, and face the reality head on that most of our beliefs and what society expects are bullshit.

Ask yourself how to be efficient, all the animals in the wild are evolved towards maximum efficiency, they don't waste energy on doing shit they don't need to. A male lion sleeps most off the day, he wakes up, kills something, stuffs his gut and goes back to sleep.

There could be lifeforms somewhere in our universe that have a thought only once every 10,000 years and then they go back to sleep.

Question everything society has taught you, think for yourself, this is scary shit as it can undo your world.

You said it yourself you dislike your work.

It's not working you dislike, most of us will pour ourselves into something at some point in our lives, we will have a passion for some activity, but it's the perniciousness manipulation experienced by the modern worker that has made his life a non-stop battle to keep from biting down on the barrel of a gun.

If you're fully awake, intelligent, not one to fall for for the trap of the predictable and not dulled by antidepressants........it's like George Carlin said "Something is really fucked up here folks....and no one seems to notice or care".

So being comfortable and being able to do/have things that entertains you is not useful in life???? Having an abundance of everything you want is not worthwhile? Living life exactly how you want to is bad? Sorry, but fuck that. My job serves a purpose to me. I don’t care if it serves any other purpose. My roll in life it to take care of me and my family, and then help others out when I have extra if I want to (leaving religion out of this) while actually enjoying my life.

Efficiency? My job is efficient at the things I listed above. Anything beyond that is a bonus. I, and most people aren’t looking to live a sorry ass “efficient” lifestyle. A comparison of animals (insanely unintelligent compared to humans) is absurd! Yeah, I lion goes and sleeps all night and wakes to you eat. Sounds like a super shitty lifestyle to me. I’m not going down a rabbit hole on fairy tale stories of possible aliens in the universe. That’s a completely useless and inefficient topic to even bring up.

That’s the awesome thing about life in America. We get to choose what we want to do with our lives. I’ll live in abundance, and you can live efficiently. We can both have our own happiness by doing different things.

I dislike my work, but it pays for everything I need and more, pays me to not work 7 weeks a year, and has awesome insurance. I don’t bring my work home, and it isn’t stressful at all. This is a choice I made. I didn’t make the correct choices when I was younger, and that prevented me from doing the one job that wouldn’t seem like a job, so I had to make a decision. I chose to do a job which isn’t all that enjoyable, but has other benefits that greatly outweigh that lack of enjoyment.

You don't chose with any originality what you do with your life. You are offered the typical American slop buffet and asked what you would like.

I'll take some of that shit and some of that shit and make a shit sandwich out of that shit.

There's nothing original about this, you work within the allowed parameters and if you paint outside the lines you aren't allowed back in the restaurant.

Remember our great philosophers, from Asia with the Buddhists, to China with the Taoists, to the Greek Stoics, to the men that figured out the secretes of the universe. Most of the greatest thinkers in history lived with some form of asceticism. With peace and quite comes creativity and brilliance.

When I mention efficiency....can you accomplish your work day in half the time you're expected to serve(like a prisoner). Could someone figure out a way to eliminate your job so you can go on to do something that is actually more productive.

We don't need job programs.....we need a job elimination programs so people can move onto more productive work. And this isn't just for low skilled work, there are plenty of people walking around with PhD's in nut tugging that should be called out.

If asked why someone would spend years in school just to become a scumbag lawyer instead of an engineer that is actually needed. That would be a good example of efficiency.

True we all live with compromises, we all have to face life decisions at a young age when we are woefully unprepared to make choices and lack wisdom and first hand experience.

Some of us are lucky to be born into families that help direct us. Some people are lucky to be born with a high IQ making it possible to do anything they way. Some are allowed numerous screwups and have the support to keep at it until they get to where they want.

The vast majority of us however have to settle and accept failures along the way. I've never been one to believe in the American Dream, because it's a lottery mentality. You either have some form of support structure or you have exceptional genetics, those that make it with grit alone are for feel good stories, but the gutters are littered with those that didn't.

Presidents aren't supposed to meddle in your life at all. The only purpose of a president is to shore our our military to defend our country from outside foreign threats.....that's it, that's all he's supposed to do.

He's supposed to keep his worthless f'n dumbass mouth shut about what goes on inside the country. He isn't our pastor, our guidance council, our parent, our police, our jailer, he doesn't inform my value system or lack of in any way.

We are supposed to be charge of our own lives, this silliness of looking to a president to create jobs in this country is bullshit, it's a scam and it's all Trump talks about.

You're gonna have a job, don't worry there are plenty of people in this country that need their asses wiped and pillows fluffed.

These so called booming economic times are mostly bullshit, I grew up in this country pre-NAFTA, you'll never have anything like that, not even if you stop importing China as automation will take over soon enough. So live by your own creativity and stop looking to a master that spanks your fanny and tells you what you will and won't do. Have the courage to live by your own wits and tell these autocrats to F-off.

I bet your gutters are filled with failures from you and your family. And lol at the iq statement followed by a typo on your part. Go kill yourself sworder. Or just leave this country you hate so bad?

Fuck typos, I'm not proof reading this shit. You think I'm gonna work that hard for a bunch of degenerates.

As for leaving the country, we've already been down that road. My mother squeezed me out of her crotch on this fine land and I'm staying right here. You don't own shit, I don't own shit, no one owns this shit.

Hating the country, MSG accused me of this as well, being a traitor. I'm not a traitor or a hater of the "land/dirt/soil/water" that happens to be called the United States and is in the control of scumbags. I do however have no use for said scumbags that are running the country and have set up a police state that I'm supposed to never question or I'm suspect for being a disloyal, which of course I am to these scumbags. Who the fuck in their right mind wants to be ruled, only a mindless fool with an authority complex wants that.

Have some respect for yourself, at least read the writings of some of the founders of this country, some enlightenment thinkers. Realize this country is fucked because the people running it are fucked.

You are nothing more than a product of endless propaganda, based on right wing fear and anger that has been pumped into your skull 24/7.

Hey at least you read the posts, give it some time to marinate in that noodle. I'm gonna make you a lover of "true" freedom soon enough.
In order to have what you want you would have to establish you own country. I understand you are truly free, but stuck in a country with laws, enforcers of those laws, and judicial system. You do realize those came about by means of necessity? There’s only you and a handful of people who want an anarchist type of country. Most of us do the right thing, accept the consequences when we don’t, and understand why the county is the way it is. You could always move to Alaska and live off the land. Otherwise you live with rules.

Meso makes no sense.

On one hand are clearly engaged with activity that is considered criminal.

Then you turn around and champion the very people that took it upon themselves (those in authority) to turn you into criminals.

There is no playing by the rules, there are sets of rules that are for different people of different classes.

You as the typical American were taught to be obedient to authority, you were given a religion that makes you passive and weak (Christianity) that allows those in power to steamroll you and you are expected to accept this with a smile. This is beat and ground into you as you worship and deify the flag, bible, cops, president and moms apple pie. This exposure was done every day until you have millions of neurons that are dedicated to one activity....to roll over submissively and present your belly for a rub-a-dub when ordered by the appropriate master.

We have massive numbers of people in this country sleep walking thanks to this obedience training.
