sorry to expose you to my dramas, i know most blokes around here are fathers so they would understand the emotions. ive seen alot of chaos in my life but after seeing my daughter in need ive really stopped and respected every person i walk past as they are someones kid and someone loves them the way i love my daughter

My daughter has been having seizures over the last 3 weeks. she had one on holiday where i flew her for my work. i took her out and my missus out for lunch and she collapsed at the table anyway cut a long story short i flew myself home to have her checked by doctors. since then she has had 4 seizures.

the hospital dont seem concerned but ive since gone to a private doctor and she has had the appropriate test (EEG) and been diagnosed with epilepsy. ive request one more scan (MRI) to check her brain for any growths. the doctors tried to tell me i was wasting my time but i was pretty firm and said they i need to eliminate the worst case scenario before we start medication. its my job to turn the stones for her health she is 3 1/2 years old she cannot translate any particular pains etc..

Damn brother I am truly sad to hear that. I pray everything works out for your family and the dr gets it under control. Keep us updated brother prayers for your family.

Vent away, that's why we are here. It's a community that I'm proud to be a supporter of and if this helps out, I'm 100% in.

I wish I could tell you guys who's conference room this is but i can't. All I can say is this dude is the HMFIC. Nothing special about the room and the technology but it's the people that made this job noteworthy. I'll remember this one well after I retire.
 
back working in my hometown until i get my daughter sorted out. walked up to my old companies office last week. as i walked in the owner looked up and said 'yes' and that was before i even had a chance to say gday. that was wednesday and i started the next morning. Another install for a local LE dept. This one has a multi viewer in the design. What that means is they have the 4 monitors which can show whatever video you route to them and the projector can show one independent image or show 4 images. So, you can have 8 images being shown at any time on this wall. 20190521_160141.jpg

Gotta get it when you can. Try not to over do it, i know what those 70+ hour weeks do to you. I wish i could post pics of my work, however no cell phones or cameras allowed in plant. To see some of our work, just look at the new Disneyland atraction star wars theme. Those contracts pay good, however privacy is key. Damn mickey mouse ears on a hard hat,
 
I'm hoping for some double bubble kickback when I sell my house. The lower floor remodel is just about wrapped up, getting close to finished with patchwork on the siding outside. Getting a small sunroom finished up and curb appeal. Gotta have that curb appeal. So far I've spent 12k in remodel cost, essentially all labor by me and the wife. I'm not sure how many hours per week we've been putting in but it's a fair amount. It's always nice to be working on the casa instead of a regular job though!

Hooe you guys are kicking ass, too!

good thanks mate, we had a really bad scare last week.. she was admitted to hospital for an emergency MRI as they doctors had concerns there was swelling on her brain due to what we thought was a stroke. that broke me i sat in the hospital crying. she was having fun being herself and i couldnt even look at her. any way it turned out she had a partial seizure and that cause her right hand side of her face to drop for a short period of time (3min)

fast forward a day and she was cleared of any tumours or swelling in the brain. MRI showed a slight difference in brain
symmetry. so finally she has a diagnosis of epilepsy.. been medicated for 9 days now and no seizures as of yet. time will tell i guess. im just so happy we have plan in place for her

How scary, glad they have a diagnosis and she is doing better. Something happening to either of my kids is my worst fear.

That’s just shows your a real man who cares about his family my friend. Nothing wrong with that. The biggest toughest mfkr on this planet would break under those circumstances. Glad the meds are working for her. Not sure about the laws in your country but medical marijuana has had profound positive effects on people that have seizures. It’s pills or food of some sort so not like she’s smoking weed and getting high.

Just something to look into in my opinion. I’m not a big fan of long term use of any pharmaceuticals. No negative side effects that I’ve read with the medical marijuana. I’ve read it being used with kids as young as 4-5 yrs old. Maybe YouTube it or google for real life people who have had success.

thanks mate i will look into it, im not fully aware of the laws here either. atm this is all new grounds for me. ive never been a person who goes to the doctor and i really hate the thought of having my girl on medication all her life but atm it needs to be done.

unfortantly yesterday 2 hours after my last post on here she had another seizure.
