Yes fortunately for me I have that luxury since my names on the door.:) Ate like a starving kid today lol. Ham,sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese ect... Then my mom brought me some pecan pie and banana pudding:D I probably put on 5 lbs today lol. But whatever a few times a year it’s ok.

I’m really late to this thread and took me a while to check out the pics. You guys have some damn skill.

Where in this god forsaken country are there real legit trade schools anymore? I mean, schools that will teach you one damn good job. All of the tech colleges where I live have some courses to learn this or that, but first they make you take general courses and extras for $$$ just so they can soak you dry. Remember shop class? Woodworking, auto mechanics etc?

so they want to hit you up for 15k so you can have a full prewire and a mesh network installed? I'm not shocked tbh. My guess is you have about 2k in wire and maybe another grand in networking gear to install and configure once the drywall is finished. Labor rates are a bitch dude. Anytime you need a hand hit me up, even if it's for a quick consultation on another company's rates and plans. No worries.

God dam, that is a work of art @kap73 ! Probably one of the hardest forms I've ever seen. Going from a perfect circle to a square. Not fucking easy. Plus making it strong enough to hold the concrete and easy enough to strip. Bad ass!

Best bet is a union. Find a union contractor to hire you in whatever trade you are interested in learning.
 
@HIGHRISK I'm down in Otown for a convention in June. If you're up in that area from the 11th through the 14th hit me up. Grab a beer or something. I'll be working during the day time, lots of parties and shit at night but I can break free if I want to.

i thought u would like that one... not many people knw the working out involved in that piece of formwork, the boss even got up me for not having anything done for the first hour of the day. i had it drawn out to full scale on two cross sections.. i tried to explain to him that its not a 20min job.. anyway at the end of the shift he was quite impressed

hey bro thanks for the call out, to be honest with u i flown myself home 17 days ago. My daughter has been having seizures over the last 3 weeks. she had one on holiday where i flew her for my work. i took her out and my missus out for lunch and she collapsed at the table anyway cut a long story short i flew myself home to have her checked by doctors. since then she has had 4 seizures.

the hospital dont seem concerned but ive since gone to a private doctor and she has had the appropriate test (EEG) and been diagnosed with epilepsy. ive request one more scan (MRI) to check her brain for any growths. the doctors tried to tell me i was wasting my time but i was pretty firm and said they i need to eliminate the worst case scenario before we start medication. its my job to turn the stones for her health she is 3 1/2 years old she cannot translate any particular pains etc..

sorry for the long msg bro i just needed to vent i guess
