Two Weeks of Bitcoin Volatility with BIP141 and BIP148

Ive been tied up with work pretty hard the past few weeks, just checked the crypto markets today. BTC near $5000, LTC nearing $100...and several other ALT coins im in are blowing up as well. @Millard Baker are the markets being pumped or are investors just relaxed now 8/1 has come and gone?
I don't know. I am not surprised BTC hit $5000. I just didn't think it would happen for a few more years.

So far, I'm liking what I'm seeing after spending the majority of the day trying to log onto several exchanges, etc. Not sure exactly what to make of BCH even after skimming through cointelegraph and the like... What's funny to me is yesterday I decided to buy some last minute BTC from coinbase at a fee of 1.49 whereas its been .99. Keep in mind in a day or two, im gonna be charged with an additional international fee....Was able to send it off extremely fast but I think its time I part ways with coinbase.....side note:I came across an article earlier that people were stating coinbase is violating their "common property law" meaning coinbase is violating their rights to not be able to partake in the fork "bonus"....something along those lines....
Did you ever part ways with coinbase and find an exchange with lower fees?

I havent purchased any cryptos as of lately... I still have my coinbase account but there are better options...going directly through GDAX directly would be your best bet...i use several exchanges...all have flaws that ive dealt with....IMO coinbase is the easiest to use, however.

It's definitely easy, there's no doubt about that. My introduction into buying crypto was through coinbase because they made it so easy, they explained it so well and hell, in 5 minutes i was buying bitcoin. But there fees seem to be exceptionally high. I bought $100.00 of bitcoin early this morning and they charged me almost $4 to buy, plus the ISA fee that my bank is going to charge me. It just seems a little high to me so im going to try and find a cheaper exchange.

The segwit2x fork should happen tomorrow. So depending where you keep your BTC, it should double. Into what? Im not 100% clear.

You won't just get equivalent number of B2X as BTC owned. You will also receive “a proportional number of Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoins as a reward for their commitment to progress.”

"Commission and transaction speed within the Bitcoin network has reached extraordinary values. It is almost impossible to use it as a means of payment.

"Our team will carry out the Bitcoin hard fork, which was planned for mid-November. At the same time, trading of its futures has been carried out on some exchanges for a long time. HitBTC is among them.

"I promise that all BTC holders will receive not only B2X in the ratio of 1 to 1, but also a proportional number of Satoshi Nakamoto`s Bitcoins as a reward for their commitment to progress."
