Protein Bars

There's quite a few on the market and I'm looking at getting some but don't want to waste money on some nasty tasting unedible bar. I was checking out musclepharm combat bar, quest bars, nitro-tech crunch bar and ON cake bites. Which brand and flavor do you like and what should I stay away from?
 
I would rather eat real food.
1 whole wheat tortilla
2 tbls organic peanut butter
1/2 banana
2 Tbls hemp seeds

This is my go to snack.
Great pre or post workout.
I toast them golden brown on the outside
And nice a warm a melty in the inside.

I'm with you, real grub all the way. If I have to I reach for a quest bar or maybe a metrx 100.

I like to stay with real food or a shake if possible but when I get a sweet tooth I resort to a protein bar and these are at Walmart and cheap too. Like 7$ for 6 of em.

Thanks for the replys. I'm only asking because when I'm working 16hr days I don't have time to make food or a shake. Need something I can snack on quick.

As @Morefyah said, whole foods are best. Last year, i did get a little side tracked, more for convenience with Lenny & larrys complete cookies. Advertised as 16g/protein per cookie, however, it was revealed in an article earlier this year, 3rd party testing revealed somewhere around 9 grams...good cookies but im done with them.

Protein cookies!! Easy to make, very basic ingredients, super cost effective, ready in less than 30 mins & plenty of recipes on youtube. I make them in bulk ( abt a wks worth), take 2-3/day with me to work..
Give it a shot!

too much sugar, processed blah blah blah, tastes good as shit. 30 gms of protein
 
Optimum nutrition has cake bites. Birthday cake, red velvet and chocolate covered cherry... 3 in a pack and I think 20g protein... Google that shit... They look de-lish..

@Bradly -- I agree the Supreme bars are just about the best Ive tried , and 30 grams of protein is HUGE ...these are really good....:) The PB&J is unbelieveable .
