Does starvation mode make a body hold onto fat? I have been told by some that it does not. I think it does. Then some say it's a complete myth. What do you all think about it?

Lol. I was in a debate with people who swear it is a myth. I think the body slows metabolism when the brain thinks it is in a starvation mode. And when more calories are eventually added, it holds on to fat more than it should. Oh well.![]()
700 cal/ day is a deep deficit for just about anybody, even a small female.A gal was stalled and wasnt losing fat....and eating around 700 Cal/day. I dont think she was on gear. That's what sparked the debate I had with some others about starvation mode and that it causes the body slow metabolism to compensate. I don't see how she was still fat on 700 calories a day, though even if metabolism slowed down. That's a big deficit.
