Took my first measurements today

So today I measured my biceps, waist, chest, and quads for the first time EVER. I have never done a cycle and I have only been lifting super seriously for about 5 weeks.

Biceps - 13.75 inches
Waist - 30.5 inches
Chest - 42 inches
Quads - 23 inches.

Height - 6ft, weight - 165lbs.

My goal is 15.5 inch biceps, 46 inch chest, and 26 inch quads at roughly 175-180lbs by the end of the year.

Will probably do my first cycle some time early next year.

I can post pics if you guys want. My body type is in between a meso and ecto.

Honestly man I think you should try to train for 5 years before considering PEDS also because your age. Just ensure your training and diet is on point and watch the scale steadily increase brother. Gains may start out slow but don't let that take you off the tracks, just my opinion of course.:p

Fallout fan nice. I agree with tweek, please enjoy natty gains for a while. Take a few years and build a nice base you might be surprised what you can do natty. Alot of guys that cycle to soon have unimpressive results due to lack of experience in lifting all together. Just wait if you can

Yeah I understand where you guys are coming from, and I definitely don't plan on doing more than 1-2 cycles a year IF I do even decide to do it. My main concern is that I plateau very quickly on my lifts and at a low weight (150lb bench for 5 reps, 165lb squat, 245 dead). I honestly have a great desire to become a physique model, and I know that it is extremely difficult without PEDs. I will post a couple pics of my current physique in a bit.

But yeah I lifted religiously 5x a week for about 13 months from age 17-19. So I definitely feel like I have the experience. My form on all my lifts is pretty damn good, as well.

Symptom:

Height - 6ft, weight - 165lbs.

Root Cause: Diet.

You don't need steroids yet, you need olive oil soaked pizzas. Mass moves mass.

In point of fact, without the olive oil soaked pizzas, the steroids just won't do anything.

Your training is intense but your fuel levels are vastly insufficient. This means no growth in muscular mass or strength.

Love the avatar.

if your plateauing on bench it could be numerous things holding you back such as your nutrition, proper rest or even a tweak of your form.

I eat about 3000-3500 cals a day minimum. Eggs, potatoes, tuna, pasta, brown rice, ramen, ground beef, chicken, bananas, and fruit juice are the main staples of my diet. I also supplement with magnesium and fish oil, and a multi.

Get rid of the fruit juice, too much added sugar. Unless its no sugar added juices, but even then... I limit myself to 2 pieces of fruit a day, usually banana's.

Are you measuring your food? i.e. do you have a handle on your macro's? how about a food scale to attack your diet with real accuracy? (Questions I was asked, and wasn't as well as I should have been... very good advice).

How much water you drinking?

How would anybody know they peaked with 5 weeks of "super serious training?" Maybe I read his posts wrong?

I drink approximately 2.5-3 liters of water per day, and no I dont use a food scale. But I always underestimate things. Say a medium size apple is 100cal on a nutrition website, I will only add 90% to my total caloric intake.

I should clarify, you want to eat everything in site if you are looking to add mass/bulk up, but the macro breakdown is still important, as is eating mostly clean.

6'2" 230 lbs, and I could stand to lose 15 lbs on my gut, but otherwise, that's about as lean as I'd ever want to be. You should look to be around 200 lbs, imo.

Yet, you still weigh 165 pounds and squat 165. At 6 feet in height.

This means you are not eating enough. Period.

Not trying to be harsh brother, but that is all there is to it.

My wife is older than you, shorter than you, lighter than you, and squats more than you. She hasn't touched a steroid in her life, has only trained semi-regularly for 2 years, and barely has measurable TT levels compared to even hypo-gonadal males.

Hormones are not your limiting factor. Training isn't your limiting factor. Eating *is* your limiting factor.

This is why you weigh 165 at 6 feet with poundage problems on your lifts. That's all there is to it.

Shitty quality, I know. I seem to gain muscle a bit easier than strength.

But yes I agree I could eat more. I have an extremely fast metabolism, and I should probably try to eat 4,000cals a day minimum while bulking

Also, when I first started lifting, I couldn't even squat the barbell more than once. I had extremely weak, skinny legs. BTW I only do a2g

Granted I'm still weak, but to put it in perspective... I started at 252 lbs. I've been lifting 6/7 weeks, and my squats and deadlift are at 250 lbs, and I started at 130 lbs. All while having abysmal testosterone levels. I'm down to 230 lbs, and still making strengths every workout.

I think you are spot on there. Whatever you eat, if you are not putting on weight and your lifts are stalled, that is the surest of sure signs that you need more.

Good pics, but might want to remove your face when you post here. Just a good idea.

Yes you need to eat a lot more based on the pictures. Like grey said you also may want to hide your face posting pics on here.
