how many meals a day?

I know your question is how many meals a day but in your situation I think you should focus more on calories a day. If you're tracking intake and you can hit 3500 (random number) cals in 2-3 meals as opposed to 5-6 meals you should still be fine. I don't believe meal timing is quite as important as overall calorie intake. Just make sure you're hitting your goal.

Yes very true. I was just curious in how many meals people were eating a day. I believe i could eat more so i was wondering how people that work like me are able to get all them meals in.

6 Meals

6-8 egg whites at 5:30am

1/2 cup oatmeal at 7:30am

Either a shake or protein bar at 9:30-10

6oz Chicken w/ rice or green beans at 12:00

6oz Chicken w/rice or potato at 2:30 (pre-workout)

Shake/Fruit at post workout

Dinner is pretty much anything at 6:30-7

6-8 egg whites around 8:30-9

-Myth-

I eat 8 or 9 a day... 2 breakfasts - 6am and 8am, 2 lunches - 12pm and 2pm, 2 snacks - 10am and 4pm, 2 dinners - 6pm and 8pm, most days another snack before bed 10pm. I eat small portions but often. Most are real food except my first breakfast and bedtime snack - those involve protein shakes with add ons... My typical day starts at 4.15am then I'm in bed by 10pm during the week.

Prep is key. you can make complete meals in bite sized portions that you can easily eat out of a bag or container... my fave are meatballs and cookies... extra lean ground beef or ground chicken breast, grated sweet potato or rice, chopped up veggies - garlic, peppers, mushrooms, spices, egg and egg whites... roll into small balls and bake OR make it into meatloaf then cut slices. Easy on the go snacks. And cookies... oatmeal ground up, protein powder, peanut butter, eggs, walnuts, sometimes I will add banana, add baking powder then bake into cookies.

Man i wish i could eat that much a day. Im gonna try and cram more but im constantly welding out in the units. I have no acces to a microwave or anything. What do your meals look like @Skull
hard boiled eggs, cold grilled chicken breast, beef/turkey jerky.
pocket eggs for the win...If Im gonna be working in full sun for awhile I put like 6 in my yeti cup.

redneck ingenuity...we are a crafty people.
I also pound raw egg whites from the carton, its like water plus protein, gotta stay hydrated out there man. They are pasteurized....its cool

I also nuke sweet potatoes for 5mins and they are constantly in my coat pockets and cup holders. Its like a banana, comes in its own wrapper but you can eat the skin. Whats easier than that? Just eat em like apples

Like full meals as in chicken and rice or just kinda like "snacks". Theres no way i could eat 7 full meals. I just dont have the time

I'm counting everything. 50g protein shake with a handful or 2 of almonds then a 6 egg omlett then a banana with peanut butter then 10oz chicken/fish/or lean steak with veggies and brown rice then an apple with a couple handfulls of nuts then another 10oz meat veggies and pasta then another 50g protein shake with some other snack
