Protein Powder

Ordered a custom blend from true nutrition today.

I usually do the whey isolates and peptides. Then play around with another ingredient but it's mostly whey isolates. I'm still but brave enough for an egg whites and beef mix..

Got chocolate coconut flavored this past order. If you didn't do the heavy flavor intensity you should see if you still can - it was bland when I did the medium. I added pb fit powder to every shake from first order pretty much.

Wish I'da known about the intensity, I got the regular.View attachment 36182

I recommend adding the peanut butter powder to it. It probably won't be bad as it is though... Mine was just pretty bland. I wouldn't have known what flavor it was with the regular intensity. Just had a slight chocolate taste and the flavor was supposed to be chocolate peanut butter I think. The heavier intensity is unmistakable.

What makes you say it seems good?

I could be wrong but pretty sure they were named in a class action lawsuit for amino spiking. I look for protein test analysis when I try a new brand. It's usually kinda tough to find.

I'm not sure just know it claims to have 60 grams of protein and some creatine in the mix what do you suggest for someone who is low on cash and needs a good protein shake

I feel like a true nutrition salesman but they really do have a quality product imo. Plus if you're on a budget you can control the price pretty well and buy in bulk. It's not always about the cheapest price but the best value or bang for your bulk. You may need to take three servings of a cheap brand to equal one serving of a good brand. Egg whites are pretty cheap too if you want to add them in.

I'll have to look into it thanks for the advice

Used true nutrition in the past and it does have a very good reputation. Was turned on to it by an IFBB pro. Seemed to know what he was talking about.

Don't they all though bahaha.

But yeah that's what I like to use. I have also heard good things about Dymatize as well. Never tried it so I cant give a review. Optimum Nutrition has never failed me or upset my stomach so thats a major plus.

I like MRM All Natural Whey most, followed by ON Gold Standard Whey (which is probably a better bang for the buck). I haven't tried TrueNutrition's custom blends yet, but will probably move that direction eventually.

Still using the BSN syntha-6, but as soon as i'm done with this one, i'll check the true nutrition brand out. Seems cool to customize your own blend. But flavor wise, intensity should be spiked up to the highest for maximum flavor? @Eman

I highly recommend it. I have chocolate coconut right now and it's awesome. I have only gotten two orders from them but I buy so much that it lasts a long time. Getting ready to make another order shortly though.

I always want to come up with an elaborate blend but tend to keep it simple. May give the beef protein a try next though.

Mm.. beef protein doesn't suit me too well.. makes my stomach upset haha. Anyways, thanks for the recommendation.

Another vote for Dymatize. 1-2 scoops, 4 egg whites and 8 or so oz milk mixes and goes down easily. Sometimes add half banana and couple scoops of powder pb. I'm currently using the chocolate. Never been a fan of the more "advanced" flavors such as cinnamon bun or what have you.

Also never been a fan of proteins with a shit load of fillers. More powder you gotta cram in.

I've recently been shaking up a thick mixture of chocolate weight gainer. I remove the lid from the shaker cup and attach a homemade funnel cap i created. Then i stick the funnel up my ass and do handstand pushups until it's all in gone. Note this is only when I'm pressed for time and need to combine both training and nutrition.
