How many of you were honest...

With your endo when you first walked in the door.
How many of you just look them in the face and said, I've been using, maybe even abusing steroids for years and now I need trt?
If so ,how did they react?

Is this a wise move? I've been blasting and cruising for years now but now that I'm getting older I'm getting more and more concerned about my general health.

I'm considering going to an endocrinologist so that my blood work and health can be properly monitored but I'm not looking forward to playing a game of cat and mouse I would much rather just be open and honest.

Just not sure what the best approach would be.
I live in the U.S.

Appreciate any input on this.

No you don't tell them you abused steroids in the pasted. You be admitting to breaking federal law.
Most will not put you in trt if your a risk .

How would you know in all your infinite experience and wisdom? You still see a pediatrician.

While you might slim your chances of trt with some doctors there is a lot to be said for being honest with those in charge of your health. Tell them the truth and if it doesn't work out get another doctor. You don't necessarily need a specialist for trt.

They are not going to report you for drug use and even if they did it would be hearsay. Doctors have better things to do than start trouble over a schedule 3 drug- even if you told them you shot heroin every day they wouldn't do anything short of advising against it.

Idiotic advice! Absolutely be honest with your doc. He would not tell anyone as it would be a HIPAA violation. Further there is the patient/doctor confidentiality rule so he could not even be forced to testify against you.

The goal of seeing a doctor is to get better. He cannot help you if you do not give him your complete and honest medical history.

dude either you are the same troll (paul johnstone, TRT, etc) or just a total idiot because everything you have posted has been flat out moronic, completely misguided or wrong. my guess is it's the former. get a life.

I would say "I used to use steroids and I think it shut my testosterone down" .
After several below 300ng (273/248/236ng) my doctor said its time for TRT . And yes he wanted to go with T-gel at first , I said no . Injections or no deal I said . He did say this is not to be abused ......I said sure , lol. Going on 4 years now , good days & bad days but it beats the alternatives......~Ogh

Straight up truth with you Dr. All of the above comments are spot on except the one and no shocker in his advice. Now once he is your Dr. do you tell him every time you you go on blast ......No.

My doc offered T-gel as well, and I said no way. He refused injections without a discussion. I later told him I had a prescription for test c from a clinic (which I did) and he accepted that.

Now I no longer have a prescription, but my doc is OK with the unusual blood test results. He only asks if I'm still taking test, not if I still have a prescription. When I go in for something, I usually bring him a copy of my latest blood test, and he has his nurse copy the results into the computer as if he had ordered them. I don't think I would have given him the results with the 850 E2 value, though. Honesty with your doc can go too far IMO

I seen 5 doctors before I was offered trt . I told the first 3 I took pro hormones they flat out told me they won't give me trt.
The last one gave me trt and I didn't tell him shit.
Brutus did I say he was going to rat anyone out?
The doctor would avoid giving you injections if he knows your a steroid user .

He knows your at risk of being an abuser.

Tendency if you don't like my thoughts than grow up and ignore it . Moron bald old fool .

You are also one of the only two idiots, Low T being the other...that conversed with contaigen. I am pretty sure you are just one of his other identities. You make the same grammatical errors he did. You also post BS bro science, much like him.

I was straight up to my family doc bout my steroid use and he accepted it without judgment, only asking if I knew the risks. Over the years, he has become more knowledgeable of roids and I believe, it has helped him manage my good health over the years.
Funny story, my orthopedic surgeon and I went to high school together and I've been an occasional patient numerous times over the years. About 18 years ago, I went to him for a rotator tear, during the exam, he asked what's my secret to the muscle mass and I was honest with him. Since then, he has put on at least 25 pounds of lean mass. Of course, he denies being TRT, just smiles.
Point is: It's really in your best interest, if they know all the facts.

If you're gonna go straight PB, go straight!! Just need to find a doc that won't treat you like a crackhead..

This was my biggest worry honestly, to be treated like a common junkie or something. I really would hope that honesty would be the best route.
