No spot, probably had another rep but knees started caving on rep 2 so I called it.Nice! You’ll definitely hit 500 on cycle, if that double was without any assistance.

Powerlifting Coaching Seminar
Only 4 people showed up to this thing. They really didn’t market it well but I Got some great coaching due to this. The Jailhouse strong guy Josh Bryant was coaching this. Great information. Well worth the price.
Squats-
Was told I was getting loose in the hole and they tried several different things with me. Got my stance right and toe position right. Biggest thing was putting plates under my heels. Once they did that my squats looked perfect. So I’m gonna try wearing my heeled shoes again and see how I do for the meet prep.
Deadlift-
Got a couple of good cues. Worked on both sumo and conventional. They told me I should be pulling conventional. According tothem my build is better suited for it and I looked much better at it. Conventional moved it very well. Even hit a PR at 530
bench-
Got some really good tips here and , got some reps in. They liked my form for the most part. Just some advice on being set before lift off and having my feet wider.

Thanks man.Nice job on the PR
Always good to have people look at your form.
Hopefully the heeled shoes help you reach a squat PR too.
4 wraps to the outside and an X then pull the slack back under the top with needle nose pliers like Joe SullivanWhat's your knee wrapping technique like?
Thanks man.
When I bought them I felt like they threw me off but Im gona have to give them another try. I do have some pain when hitting depth. I need to work on mobility for my low back. Had so many injuries to my low back its a wonder I can squat heavy at all

I’d pay a hefty amount to go to one of his seminars. Josh’s advice is fucking golden.Bw:218

Yea man, guy is a great coach. Since there wasn’t many people there I stayed about 45 after the meet and talked programs, weight classes, cues, overload techniques, wraps, federations. Also met some other lifters a USPA judge/coach and talked shop before the meet. All in all a great fucking day. Probably months worth of internet research and trail and error training to gain what I gained in 5 hours today.I’d pay a hefty amount to go to one of his seminars. Josh’s advice is fucking golden.
I’m jealous. And the last part you said is 100%. A few hrs with someone like Josh could change your entire trajectory when it comes to lifting.Yea man, guy is a great coach. I’d really like to get a coaching seminar with Ed Coan , Dave Tate, Ben Pollack, Matt Wenning. If I get the chance I will for sureI’m jealous. And the last part you said is 100%. A few hrs with someone like Josh could change your entire trajectory when it comes to lifting.
Only 3 people I really wanna see at a seminar: Josh Bryant, Dave Tate and Justin Harris. So much knowledge between them.
Ben’s definitely a beast too. I like what he’s doing with Justin Harris. Matt, I like his stuff but I feel he’s a watered down version of Dave Tate lol. I’ve learned some from him, but I feel Dave just has more experience.I’d really like to get a coaching seminar with Ed Coan , Dave Tate, Ben Pollack, Matt Wenning. If I get the chance I will for sure

Was pretty fatigued so I didn’t do much else to finish out the session. Back still sore from that deadlift PR. Wore my heeled lifting shoes. Didn’t feel bad, maybe the problem was more mental. Just had to be mindful of keeping my weight on the heels Instead of leaning forward. I think they will take some getting used to, I shouldn’t have been so quick to dismiss them. Played around with the wraps. Just trying to get used to the self wrapping thing, take every opportunity to get there I can.
Do you high bar? I I assume so wearing heeled shoesBw: 218

To anyone who’s used wraps in a meet? Do you believe in having a spare pair that are identical just Incase ?
