Why do some people run growth hormone releasing peptides instead of HGH?

General availability and social marketing of peptides is why, not to mention the hoops to get UGL such as anonymity, crypto currency, and all that jazz.

I went off HGH completely for 8 weeks now and people are saying i look completely different in the face and that i look 5 years younger. Shit ages you like crazy without you noticing. And it's not even water retention, because i was lean.

I will have to try peptides and see how they compare.

what did you notice after coming off? less energy? Less motivation? less fullness? im curious about this ,

Very good question, i was on for so long that i had forgotten how it is "natural".

Fullness is completely gone + Recovery took a BIG hit. I feel sore for days now compared to HGH where i could recover like a machine. So these are the two biggest factors.

Another thing i also noticed is that my old "injuries" started to flare up again. My bad knee for example and an old elbow injury. Not bad, but noticeable. HGH was like putting bandage on them, i didn't feel them on HGH.

Energy and motivation i still have it 100%. Actually i felt a bit more energetic coming off HGH because it was kind of making me tired throughout the day.

I was taking 4 iu per day.

Did you change your workout intensity much since coming off?

If not, this is discouraging to hear. I've had minimal to no soreness and have been able to workout 5-6 days a week on hgh. Was hoping it might stick around after stopping.

I didn't change anything, this was on 150mg Test E + 4 iu HGH. I still have very good workouts and pumps, but i get sore like a natural again. I had to cut my trainings from 5 days a week to just 4.

I think being on TRT levels has something to do with this, if i was on a full blast now and dropped HGH i highly doubt it would affect me this much.

lmfao not true

maybe too much glycation

and definitely water retention

You're making 4iu sound like magic

hgh stimulates collagen , not possible

if you said high dht then i would agree
HGH stimulates collagen in normal levels, not in supraphysiological levels. I never had a wrinkle on my face until i started using HGH.

This is from chatgpt:

HGH helps your body make more collagen, which keeps skin firm and elastic. In normal amounts, this can make skin look younger. But the problem with too much HGH is that it raises IGF-1 levels and can affect insulin sensitivity.

This can lead to glycation: sugar sticks to collagen and makes it stiff and brittle ---> wrinkles and sagging. It can also cause oxidative stress: chemical “rust” that breaks down collagen. The Paradox: Too much HGH = more collagen, but lower quality collagen. Skin may feel thicker but look coarse, puffy, or aged.

i swear it was either hgh or the fact that lost some fat , but i feel like i aged quite a bit in the face since starting hgh in my late 40's now at 52 well , :( thank god i found DIY botox and polynucleotide treatments, Also mn sessions with my machine , its like tatooing peptide/growth factors into your skin via serums.

My face aged quite a bit between 40 and 52 without any hgh. Even worse from 52 to 57. We have to be careful to not blame other things for normal aging.

my case is im sure from the reduction of fat pads in my face decreasing from weight loss , i went from 25% bf down to -10% currently, but , My skin texture has improved it just got that saggy "Drawn" look .

For the most part, possession and use of rHGH is not a crime in the US, at least no more than using unprescribed blood pressure meds would be. Possession with intent to distribute, and acts further up the chain from there is. (there are a couple of state level exceptions).

I can only speak regarding Tesamorelin, a well studied, FDA approved drug (Egrifta) with a long track record of safety.

For one. even without routine testing, it's generally safe for long term use. Acromegaly is not a risk, because you'll never exceed physiological levels of GH by enough to cause it. Similarly, new onset diabetes risk is very low. All natural pituitary feedback mechanisms are left intact. It can and has been used daily for decades with no "safety signals" of health harm. That's very appealing,

Tesa essentially mimics the "ideal conditions" that would trigger your body to max out endogenous growth hormone production. Perfect sleep, perfect nutrition, perfect health, and no stress,

ChatGPT didn't elaborate on why pulsatile release is beneficial. TLDR constant release like rHGH is not natural, and GH receptors can downregulate over time ("GH resistance").

That's why Tesa is very effective at reducing visceral fat at doses inducing much lower levels of GH/IGF than required to achieve similar fat lipolysis with rHGH. The pulses don't cause a loss of receptor responsiveness that occurs with constant exposure to GH. Visceral fat reduction is Tesa's main reason for existence, but it provides the other familiar rHGH benefits on skin, hair, nails etc at a level roughly similar to 2iu of rHGH.

So this makes for a good anti-aging, general health use case vs inherently riskier rHGH. Tesa is a modest GH increasing minivan with an automatic transmission, while rHGH is a manual sports car with no safety features by comparison, requiring monitoring of glucose, IGF, kidney function, lipids, getting timing right, managing sides etc

Real chicks drive stick.
