why do people come off TRT?

Those that went on TRT because their body could not produce enough usually don't come off. Those that say they are on TRT just to use it as a way to stay on a smaller dosed cycle and higher amounts then what is normally produced by the body may decided the long term cycle is no longer desirable or healthy. .

Just wondering, why are so many people coming off after many years and willing to martyrize themselves to recover?

Isn´t it all better on TRT? 2 pins a week of test c subq and live the best life? 200mg a week, excellent recovery and muscle mass, a lot of free test, high libido?

why are people coming off? Apart from obvious fertility reasons when you want to procreate with your partner, but you may come back after conception.

Why do people regret it?
I always felt, like stressingon trt after quitting and starting finasteride, life has been way more stress free. But will start again sometime to see what happens.

I knew a bike racer. He quit to get smaller to win races. The extra 7lbs of muscle trt gave him was slowing him down he said.

The idea just kinda sucks having to pin twice a week for the rest if my life. But I would still come off periodically to resensitize.

You will reach a point where you wouldn't care about testosterone anymore. What's the point of high libido if your partner doesn't have sex drive anymore unless you cheat, you don't care about muscle anymore or just plain old that it doesn't matter at that stage.

I come off occasionally because I'm not so called "primiary hypogonadal," so technically I probably don't even need it from a clinical perspective. I use androgens (DHEA, DHT, & T) because I'm hypothyroid, and androgens help with lowering binding proteins which makes my thyroid meds work significantly better. It could also help offset any excess SHBG that thyroid is known to increase.

Even though T3 can help keep cholesterol from getting too high, I do sometimes worry about androgens raising my cholesterol too high. So I'll take a break from them for that reason too. When I'm off T, I usually use a combination of zinc, mucuna pruriens, and shilajit along with my thyroid meds to keep the gonadotropins, LH, and pregnenolone going. That's one of the main reasons your cholesterol rises in the first place because exogenous androgens shut down steroidogenesis.

I don't use any pharma PCT protocols because my test is typically applied dermally to the scrotum. So I don't really expect any MAJOR shutdown in the HPG axis. I usually just use that herbal protocol for about 2 weeks and I'm good. I keep taking the zinc long term though. Helps to keep E2 where it's suppose to be.

I'm the type of person who is scared of being dependent on something that's hard to get. Let's say the world really goes to shit, there is a collapse, natural disaster, or you somehow end up in prison, or you lose access to supplies, then what do you do?

What complicates things is the absolute requirement for injection paraphernalia. You need a ton of needles and syringes. And most importantly, you need a source of HCG, always. TRT without HCG puts you in a worse position if you have to suddenly come off for whatever reason.

Then there is the travel factor. If you have to travel a lot or you go on a lot of adventures, then TRT may be too difficult.

I don’t know, my dad did TRT from age 40-79 (when he died).
