Gdaddy, what are your daily macros?? Including calories? What’s your height and weight? You are wayyy more fit/muscular than I. But I’d like to compare what I’m doing to you in the sense of macrosI have eaten 6 clean meals per day for the last 4 years or so. I will wake up at 4 AM if I have too, to make sure i have my food for the day. I eat every 3 hours, make breakfast fresh every morning, bring 3 meals to work, train, and eat two more times before bed. I’ve left work or had to take the day off because I left my meals at home. I am a sick man but I love it. So when I hear people talk about diet I assume everyone preps there meals like me and are on point. Depending on cutting, maintenance, or bulk I will eat a little junk here and there and go out with friends. But 90% of the time it’s all planned meals. When I am cutting for a contest I am 100% on point. That is when it’s the hardest. I hate dieting (reducing calories) because I love to eat but it’s part of the lifestyle. It’s tough.

Hmm. So your calories must be around 3k a day with those macros? This looks identical to my daily macro except I’m 213lb at 5-11”. I feel i handle carbs ok.. my weight seems to climb down half a pound a week to 10 days. I look better every month. I think its just a game of consistency and i’m Trying to pin down the perfect plan.I am 2 weeks away from bodybuilding competition so giving you my current macros wouldn’t make sense.
5’6” 178 lbs currently.
In general for maintenance I would say my macros are around
Protein - 250 g
Carbs - 350 g
Fats - 60 to 80 g
I have learned my body handles carbs very well. Always been athletic/muscular as a kid. Both my parents were the same. I find people who tend to gain fat easily or were fat as a kid do better with higher healthy fats, vegetables, with starchy carbs around workouts. They have to pay close attention to calories to limit excess fat gain.
I would suggest paying close attention to how you respond to higher carbs vs higher fats with calories remaining the same.
