Lets see, we went into Afghanistan, which is where Bin Laden was. Kerry claims that HE would have caught him in Tora Bora. However, a year ago he said that Bush was doing everything in Afghanistan correctly and it was working. Tommy Franks says that what John Kerry has said about having him "cornered" in Tora Bora is absolutley false!!! I"m inclined to belive the general who was in charge there myself.

Also, Kerry criticizes Bush for "outsourcing the job of catching Bin Laden to the Afghan war lords" and that "US troops should have went in themselves". Well, Russia tried that a decade ago and they got slaughtered because the did NOT know the terrain at all. Tommy Franks has stated repeatedly that we did not know the terrain either....we did not know the caves.

So, I think it is an unfair statement to say that "Bush did not go after those responsible".

Also, the war on terror is much bigger than Bin Laden and Al Qaeda....it encompasses many other countries who "harbor terrorists". And yes, Iraq was one of those countries!!! SAddam regularly paid terrorists families $25K if a member of their family would attack Israel.

Funny you should ask that question, Kayz. I had originally typed a response detailing my reaction to 9/11. It went something like, "then be glad I'm not the President because I'd have spent 60 million dollars of war money by 9/12."

I, unlike Bush, would absolutely have utilized my executive privelege.

No shit....I would re define the term "pre-emptive strike". :D

Bush's agenda is to spread freedom to the countries that support terrorism!!!! How can you say to rule the world, we don't need their desert property. In fact, we have our own oil in Alaska which Bush was vetoed by your tree hugging liberals.

I can't believe that you think Socialism will work! Maybe we should be Socialist like those wussy French.. Cut back on the tren its poisoning your mind.

You can have all the education in the world and that won't cure ignorance.

So what? By this logic he then would have to go after Iran and Syria, besides others. Why is he not going in Soudan where a few hundred thousand christian people have been massacred by the arabic militia in the province of Darfour? He cannot handle it in Irak, the soviets have been kicked out of Afghanistan and you think that Bush would prevail in pacifiying all these countries? You don't understand my friend, they don't want your freedom, they want a freedom that's theirs, the way they see it, not your way or my way.

We cannot impose our way of life on these people, they don't want you there, they hate you and most would be happy to die if they hurt you in the process, but you already know that. Is it a good thing that Saddam is not there anymore? Of course, he was a psychopath and a murderer, but to achieve this, Bush made a terrible mess, and I don't see how he can clean it now.

So what is it gonna be? Are you ready to send 400 000 young men in there? Are you ready to see coffins coming home by the hundreds every week? It's your call.

And by the way, I don't believe that socialism will work, and I already said that it didn't work, but I don't believe the exact opposite is better. And as for the french, they are not socialists, in fact the country is leaning more to the right at this moment, and on the political scale, president Chirac is on the right side.

Vampirique..as your name suggests, you must only get out at night. Hard to see things clearly when you're in the dark huh!

Name: George Dubya Bush

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Law Enforcement:
I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under
the influence of alcohol. I pleaded guilty, paid a fine, and had
my driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving
record has been "lost" and is not available.

Military:
I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused
to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use.
By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid
combat duty in Vietnam.

College:
I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was
a cheerleader.

PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:

I ran for U.S. Congress and lost.

I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas in 1975.
I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas.
The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal
that took land using taxpayer money.

With the help of my father and our friends in the oil industry
(including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS:

I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies,
making Texas the most polluted state in the Union. During my
tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden
city in America.

I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of
billions in borrowed money.

I set the record for the most executions by any governor in
American history.

With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my
father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President
after losing by over 500,000 votes.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:

I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with
a criminal record.

I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of
*over one billion dollars per week*.

I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S.
Treasury.

I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S.
history.

I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in
any 12-month period.

I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month
period.

I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history
of the U.S. stock market.

In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their
jobs and that trend continues every month.

I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any
administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire,"
Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

I set the record for most campaign fundraising trips by a U.S.
President.

I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving
the most corporate campaign donations.

One of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest
corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. History, Enron.

My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys
to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my
election decision.

I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against
investigation or prosecution. More time and money was spent
investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent
investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history.

I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and
refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry
was revealed.

I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be
awarded government contracts.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than
any President in U.S. history.

I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest
bureaucracy in the history of the United States government.

I've broken more international treaties than any President in
U.S. history.

I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United
Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.

I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspector's access to U.S. "prisoners of war"
detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva
Convention.

I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations
election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).

I set the record for fewest numbers of press conferences of any
President since the advent of television.

I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one-year
period. After taking off the entire month of August, I presided
over the worst security failure in U.S. history.

I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade
Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most
hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in
world history.

I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to
simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people),
shattering the record for protests against any person in the
history of mankind. (LOL)

I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked,
preemptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign
nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the
majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community. I have cut
health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty
benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in wartime.

In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for
attacking Iraq and then blamed the lies on our British friends.

I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans
(71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and
security.

I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster,"
a WMD.

I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden
to justice.

During the Iraq War and Occupation thousands of American troops
were injured and killed. I did not have the time to attend any of
the funerals for our fallen soldiers but I did have the time to
attend more than 43 fundraising events of the Republican party.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES:

All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my
father's library, sealed and unavailable for public view.

All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and
my bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for
public view.

All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President,
attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and
unavailable for public review.

scary part is most of that is true!
Great post

And he is absouluty correct we would have , after 911 it took two and half months before the Special Forces were cleared to go there!!! And in the first two months there were only around 10 thousand strong U.S troops and at the same time there was 5 x that amount in Iraq .hmm.........that makes sense , actually it does when you already have planned to invade Iraq! btw we most certanitly had him surrounded that is know a known fact!

Oh and he says..." we are figthing for our freedom" ok sure like we are living opressed here in America...lol.
Killing innocent children in Iraq when invading it was an honorable thing...right?
Fuck him!

A lot of people forget about the innocent people dying in Iraq the estimated civilian casuality rate is close to 100,000 people they dont blast that all over the biased tv networks!

Most that like Bush like him for 2 reasons.
1. They think he is some how more moral or a better christian(What ever that means) than Kerry. That God favors all conservatives...Funny.
2. He is better at dealing with terroists. Hello? Iraq is about oil not terror. Osamo bin ladan is still alive!

That sums up is strengths. 99% of americans are worse off financially than in the 90's. But as long as Bush goes to church then we love him. INSANE

Do you have facts to back this up?? I have seen several sights that say approximately 15K civilians...but they do not take into account the Saddam loyalists who attack US soldiers while wearing civilian garb.

No one thinks that God favors conservatives bro. But, many religious people do believe that God supports life (i.e.: not abortion) and that marriage is between a man and a woman. Whether or not they are right I don't know as I'm not religious.

But this all goes back to the fact that demcorats try to tell everyone they are "wrong" for feeling a certain way. Kerry criticized Bush for allowing "his faith to get in the way of his decision making". But, when Kerry sees that he is losing the Catholic vote, all of a sudden he tells a story about how he "carried his rosary into Vietnam and prayed during battle". He also has recently said that "he will take his faith to the White House and it will guide his decisions". WTF??????

And you still think Iraq is about oil???? Then why am I paying $2.30 for gas right now?? We have never relied upon the Middle East for oil.....never. In fact, we only get approximately 20% of our oil from the middle east. The othoer 80% comes from Argentina, Russia, the Gulf, and inside the states....fact!!!!

And do you have any stats saying that 99% of Americans are worse off financially?? If so, please post them. And just because Al Gore said that the top 1% got the biggest tax cuts (because they pay all the fucking taxes to begin with)...doesn't mean the other 99% have drifted into misery and sorrow.

What was Vietnam about? Fighting for democracy or generating revnue?
Your paying more for gas, true. Some one is getting richer. Do you really think Governments do things to help there people?
Do you make a profit off your business for the good of the community or for the good of your company?

Communism was the great fear... now its terrorists. There has be be a antagonist factor to keep the military machine alive, to keep people feeling the need for government to help them. The church uses the fear of Hell, of God's rejection if you don't do this or that, to keep monies rowling in. The medical institution rejects alternative medicines and remedies. Why, to keep the game going.
With out fear the Government and church have no sway.
As far as Americans being better off? Do we have a deficit or a surplus in this country. Is gas more or less?
Is anything more or less. Take a poll at work and ask if they would perfer this economy or the one under Clinton.
I know...Clinton had nothing to do with the economic condition of the 90's, but he is the reason for the current recession? Hum?
Right and wrong is a matter of percpective.
Religion tries to dictate morals even though the roman catholic church revises their views every year. You can't do this... OK now you can, but you still can't do this. Years ago it was viewed as a crime against nature for blacks and whites to marry... Guess God changed his mind.

I come from a military family as well....in fact, I live about 3 miles from one of the largest bases in the US.

No, I don't think governments do everything in their power to help the people, which reinforces my ideas that you have to go out and do it your self. The governmetn is not gonna give you a job...you have to go get one. The government is not gonna give you health insurance.....you have to get it yourself. The government is not gonna give you a place to live...you have to pay for it yourself.

But these are the things that the democrats and YOUR candidate promise the Americans every 4 years...so you are contradicting yourself right now.

And I"m sick and tired of hearing about Clintons economy and his 5.6% unemploymetn rate......right now we have an UR of 5.4%. Clinton "created" 22 million jobs, but he also signed NAFTA.....which has caused tremendous job loss in the past 10 years...we are just now seeing the effects of NAFTA and the EPA's unregulated control on American business. So in essence, Clinton is partly responsible for todays economy. When Clinton was elected, the economy was on a nice upswing....he reaped the benefits...and now his policies of NAFTA and a weak military are coming back to bite us in the ass.

And you still think Iraq is about oil???? Then why am I paying $2.30 for gas right now?? We have never relied upon the Middle East for oil.....never. The key statistic here is that Iraq is the tenth biggest producer but has the second largest amount of proven reserves. Given that the Bush administration is full of oilies, it does suggest that oil is a big motivation in the move to oust Saddam.

In other words, Saddam was sitting on proven oil reserves worth an incredible US$3 trillion based on current oil prices (+US$30).

fyi :
World proven crude oil reserves by country in 2001 (thousand million barrels)

1. Saudi Arabia - 261.8
2. Iraq - 112.5
3. United Arab Emirates - 97.8
4. Kuwait - 96.5
5. Iran - 89.7
6. Venezuela - 77.7
7. Russian Federation - 48.6
8. USA - 30.4
9. Libya - 29.5
10.Mexico - 26.9

11. Nigeria - 24.0
12. China - 24.0
13. Qatar - 15.2
14. Norway - 9.4
