Who's ready for the fight??

McGregor for the win..
Mayweather has been on a 2 year layoff. He sucks anyways, boring as hell, poor sport always, perfect record but he always avoided the best fighters until they weren't in their prime. Mayweather will actually probably win but I have 80 bucks bet on McGregor.

Stopped way too early. McGregor wasn't even wobbled. I mean, you can tell McGregor was done, but they should have let it keep going.

I just read the score cards. Turns out McGregor had 4 and even 5 rounds in his pocket by one judge. So thats a pretty even matchup. Not bad i guess. Certainly impressive. Has a future in boxing if he wants it. He fought like a champion in his pro debut, lol.

I agree. This fight reminded me how much I hate boxing. I'm glad though as a MMA fan and a huge Mcgregor fan that he did the MMA crowd proud. He probably just picked up some new fans himself. Seriously though boxing is boring as fuck!

Yes sir ready for sure. I got Mcgregor. One I'm a huge fan of him even before he was famous I use to like watching his undercard fights.
Two.. I fucking hate Floyds non boxing ass.

Run, jab, hug ...run,jab,hug....run,jab,hug
That's how all his fight go. He the best at not getting hit , not boxing. I know winning is all that matters but he's not the best ever by far. There's many boxers with losses there are much better then him.

JUST MY OPINION.

Of course there's always a remote chance MG could land the big one, yet since he is fighting a PROFESSIONAL BOXER who iis arguably one of the best of all time ---

Mayweather by round FOUR and that's being kind.

No surprise really, MW enters an MMA rring against MG and the outcome would be similarity reversed IMO.

One can only hope MG is being paid handsomely.

He was done. All that shit he talked I'm gonna knock him out. Did you not think mayweather knew mcgregor was going to give his all early in the fight?? He lost plain and simple. He was about to be knocked out. He didn't do bad at all. I'm give him that, but MMA needs to have a new respect for boxing. Mcgregor was bigger and stronger. I'm glad he lost. He didn't respect the sport.

Floyd made it close for as long as it was. Floyd is notorious for being a slow starter. Kind of studies his opponents weaknesses and by mid fight he is in control. McGregor gets props. He certainly came to fight. Just not his sport and mayweather is a master. You see when mayweather turned it up it didn't last long. Floyd started sitting down on his punches and McGregor just wanted to get away.

Hey you BB guys should be able to answer this, how did connor gain so much weight after the weigh in??? Seems very weird.

If it went longer it would have been needless brutality. Connor was being rapidly reduced to a child.

Mma fans, millenials, are just in it to see gore I guess.

I'm neither. I'm an old time boxing fan that grew up in a boxing household. All boxers, managers, promoters, writers, etc, etc. I don't mind gore, but that isn't why i say it should have went longer. McGregor was still able to defend himself, still posed a threat and wasn't completely out of the fight. I've seen many, many fighters come back from much worse. As for how did he put on so much weight. The fighter did what was called drying out where just before weigh in he dehydrates himself as much as he can and then rehydrates after weigh in. There have been cases, that I've seen, where fighters rehydrate 15 to 20lbs.

@XKawN , thanks for explanation. Does not sound good for the body before an endurance event tho.

I agree the fight COULD have gone longer. If it was a legit title I dare say it would have. It was a show/demonstration fight and I guess the ref saw Connor not really defending or attacking anymore.

I don't believe the end result would have been different but the fans would have been more convinced.

I think the fighters had a lot of good will behind the scenes. Both prolly couldn't believe how much they were getting paid. There was no malice between them. the hype was just theatrics.

Connor got more money in one fight than anyone in their entire ufc career and Floyd got out of a hole with the IRS (allegedly).

Win-win.

I do believe this is bad for the business model ufc fighters get paid under. UFC fighters are getting fucked over big time. They take big risks, work hard, have short careers and have no say in their destiny.

I predict the UFC fighters will want to start to operate like boxers and do their own negotiations instead of being just the hired help.
