Got the rest of my PCT247 order today, which included some Bemp/Eze tablets. I'm not keen on the tendon rupture risk. The absolute risk is low, but it's still more than placebo. I'm also usually the one that gets corner case symptoms of everything, so... I'll try it and drop it quickly if I get any telltale signs of tendon anger. I hate wasting these standalone Ezetimibe tablets, though.

Uric Acid actually came back low on labs, so at least for right now it's not going to be an issue. Lifestyle-wise, I'm not sure how much wiggle room I have. Diet is strictly controlled both in macros and quality.. all clean/organic. Don't drink, smoke, or anything vice-wise. I do have an AAS habit, though. Admittedly, I don't even remember how uric acid gets produced. I look shit up all the time and promptly forget it. Next labs a little over two months out, which will get me deep into Bemp territory, so I'll know better then. These last labs were a little early.well maybe there is something to take to lower uric acid while the bempedoic acid raises it , maybe also lifestyle changes
I'm taking simvastatin that has a similar side effects profile (not very good, there are better statins) and I think it is worth it. In low or moderate doses of these statins the insulin sensitivity should be very minimally affected and reducing LDL is really important. If all you have is atorvastatin, I'd take it, at least while on cycle.Have a script for Atorvastatin, always been afraid to touch it. Been using 1200mg Red Yeast Rice with 100mg COQ10, I might start taking the statin this week, since I’ve recently started a blast
I fear for the metabolic effects of the drug (reduced insulin sensitivity, muscle aches) but I suppose it’s safe to use, especially since I’m on cycle
Years ago I was prescribed rusvastatin, 10 mg per day, but I had to stop because of muscle pain, thanks to my cardiologist I was able to have access to NUSTENDI, bempedoic acid + ezetimibe , really fantastic, very effective and zero side effectsIl dottore vuole prescrivermi una statina per il colesterolo. Qualcuno di voi la sta prendendo e me la consiglia?
Bro your scared to take a statin but will blast bathtub brew? lol statins are the best cardio preventive bang for your buck you can doHave a script for Atorvastatin, always been afraid to touch it. Atorvastatin and red yeast rice are the two statins with the worst side effect profiles. Atorvastatin is better than red yeast rice though, so I would not hesitate to switch to it. Of course, everyone is different and you may tolerate both of them well with no side effects, as many people doHave a script for Atorvastatin, always been afraid to touch it. Great comment. I get a lot of myalgia / fatigue symptoms (mostly tendon issue not muscle) from statins and a runny nose / sinus infections from ezetimibe and jardiance. Coq10 helps, ife gotten a lot of benefit from coq10 ubiquinol and pqq. And mots c.There is no actual controversy around statins. Only misinformation

I'm afraid to ask what your doctor is recommending and I presume also that your doctor didn't order a lipid panel that included ApoB, so I'll bite, what's your LDL-C? Are you hypertensive? HbA1C? Age? Family history of hypercholesterolemia, ASCVD (atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease) or an MI (mycardial infarction or "heart attack") at an early age? Have you had a CT-CAC (coronary artery calcium) test?
In short, certain statins at low to moderate doses are excellent tools to prevent the progression of ASCVD. Most doctors follow the outdated standard of care recommended by the American College of Cardiologists and lean heavily on statin mono-therapy at maximal doses.
They work well in a poly-pharmacy approach that uses complementary interventions to control LDL. A statin, typically rosuvastatin, dosed in the sweet spot of the dose response curve in concert any number of other complementary interventions like ezetimibe, bempedoic acid, and a PCSK9 inhibitor like Repatha work extraordinarily well as evidenced by the numbers @juicebro demonstrated.
I use all the above, my LDL-C is 17mg/dL and my ApoB is 32mg/dL per my last lipid panel.
