I posted the reference to protein BV to display that all protein sources are not the "same".
The comment that was made stating "protein is protein" is actually an accurate statement, its also what I would refer to as useless.
That statement is the same as saying that the number 1 is the same as the number 1....duh.
Now if the statement implies that all protein sources are absolutely equal or whey concentrate is the same as whey isolate, the statement is scientifically incorrect.
There may not be a significant difference or a significant advantage in concentrate verses isolates, but they are not the "same" as 1 is to 1.
For our use the comparison method of PDCAAS may be more "useful" than BV, as the BV method is not a reflection of daily protein ingestion and everyday conditions.
