When one is on androgel therapy when should you get your blood work done?
If you are drawing blood in the morning should one skip the the morning dose
of androgel?

I don't want to answer for Swale but no - you should not skip your morning dosage. Afterall, you're trying to measure what your test level is WITH the Androgel. Skipping the Androgel dose would just give inaccurate data. However, as Swale mentioned in another thread, don't rub the gel in the nook of your arm (opposite side as elbow) where they will be drawing the blood as this could give inaccurate high readings.

The reason I asked is that someone told me to skip the morning dose to assess your levels after 24 hours. In other words to see what the T levels
would be after 24 hours.

I don't know why a doctor would want that. I would think that the doc would want to see where the Androgel is taking you after its applied, not after its pratically worn off. I guess it's really up to your doctor.

I guess it would depend on whether you want to see what the peak is or the trough.

BM, whoever told you that, well, it makes no sense whatsoever.

You can recheck T levels in as little as ten days after initiating TRT with Androgel. I usually wait about two weeks.
