Besides the threat of a bomb, the passengers probably figured that it was a typical hijacking. Nothing like Sept 11 had ever happened before, so why would these people suspect that they were going to be used as a weapon?AnabolicAnimal said:
Looking back on the situation its easy to say "Well if I was on the plane...." No you wouldnt have. You would have figured that you would go land at some airport and make demands of the US Govt. Hindsight is 20/20, while foresight is closer to 20/200.

I am about to read " the new pearl harbor " , a book that gives eyewitness accounts of the missile strike on the pentagon that was witnessed by many people ( including a west virginia HS kids/teachers while sitting on a bus in front of the pentagon sight seeing. )..incuding the survelliance video that was grabbed up by the feds in less than 3 minutes of the event happening. It also discusses the manner in which the Feds would not allow testing on the material in the rubble for explosives, incindiaries and propellants.

-How funny...in the second link ( the first one doesnt work ) you post the accounts from the anonymous eyewitnesses all speak of the incident in a differnet way. Some say the plane never banked or turned ,, others say that witnessed the plane bank left and adjust its flight path to hit the pentagon.
Like this thread says..what realy happened on 9/11 . We will never know..I still wonder why the footage of the plane hitting the building wont be released....this could so quickly dispell any conspiracy theories that the US government is covering something up.

The footage was taken off a govt site at the request of some of the families of loved ones lost.
Again I ask what happened to the crew and passengers? It would require too large of a cover up.
