What makes you run away from a source?

Hi everyone, I realize I'm likely walking on thin ice with this question, so please keep your sources to yourselves on this one. I'm NOT asking for a source. I'll figure that out when the time comes, but...

What makes you run away from a potential source? I'm new to this game and would like to not get fleeced if possible. What are the red flags? What gives you confidence to test new waters? Payment types, emails, location, etc. I've never used bitcoin but took screenshots of some posts referring to this and exodus. If this is your preferred payment method it would be helpful to know. Thanks for your advice!

No recent batch testing, amber vials, poor OPSEC, poor shipping practices, longer than acceptable shipping times for domestic, not active enough on the forums, doesn’t accept accountability for mistakes
Thanks for the reply Anadrol! I wouldn't have thought about Amber vials since my prescription comes in one, but it makes sense!

You should absolutely pay in crypto. And if you order internationally and customs calls you saying they have a package you need to come pick up, then don't go pick it up. It's not yours until you admit that it is or you were expecting it. I steer clear from sources pushed by influencers or easily located on standard search results such as "where to buy steroids", too... I know that seems obvious, but humans blow my goddamn mind on the daily, especially in this world.

Has a bunch of brand new accounts posting over the top great reviews as their first post. Poor and inconsistent communication, and also saying something is in stock only to find out its not after paying and I have to wait a undetermined amount of time.

Thanks Hesoprimaltho! Do you recommend coinbase to exodus?

I prefer neither, the purchase fees are too high, but I do a fair bit of spot trading myself, so if you're only going to be using cryptos for a few transactions sometimes then either should be fine. Hell I think you can even buy and send btc via PayPal and/or Venmo these days honestly.

Here’s an excerpt from the website of a good source

Deca 300mg/ml (Batch 22103 - 291mg) - £25

See how they’ve had it tested, they’ve quoted the batch number so you can check it against what you have, and they’ve been honest about the discrepancy between the quoted dose and the tested dose. All of these are green flags.

A good source will also usually give you store credit for testing yourself so you can hold them accountable for honesty reporting test results.

Poor quality/bad reviews and bad OPSEC are number 1 for me. Not giving a discount credit for blood test results.

Coinbase and exodus are separate things. You should never send funds directly from coinbase to a source. Coinbase is a trading platform whereas exodus is simply a wallet. I STRONGLY recommend downloading exodus and sending all funds from Coinbase to Exodus, then Exodus to your source. If coinbase detects you sending funds directly associated with "nefarious" activity then they may freeze your account (this can be permanent, too). This is unlikely with a steroid source but it's always better safe than sorry I work in IT Security for over a decade and you can reference my posts on security on the forum, I tend to know my shit in this regard. Feel free to ask questions.

I am actually gonna start a crypto specific thread here soon to outline crypto and make it into a general crypto question area.

My first inclination would be that that's a bit paranoid, and as he even stated unlikely, but he's also 100% with the better safe than sorry mentality, particularly with Coinbase as opposed to other exchanges though. Coinbase reports directly to the IRS unlike many other platforms, and as the exchange that's largely marketed to newbies just venturing into the crypto world it would be more likely to happen there than elsewhere. Despite that unlikelihood though, yeah always a good idea to store crypto off-platform anyway, even if for short periods, if you're not actively trading.

Also be wary of platforms such as Robinhood. You dont actually own the crypto there, you only hold an equivalent "credit" on their platform. no keys = not your crypto.

Well as I said I work in IT Security so being paranoid about that kind of stuff is sort of my thing. Like I said having your account frozen for sending funds to a steroid source is super unlikely, but you don't know what they are doing with their funds. They could be sending to darknet wallets or something and THAT would be a flag and cause for account freeze from the Coinbase perspective.

With the blockchain analysis being done having an extra hop to a wallet that isn't directly associated to your social security number is always a good idea.

Lack of transparency. Lack of accountability. Watching them dodge customers in the forums.

Some of the big guys have been having obvious problems and pretending everything's fine. Saw like 6 people in a row ask what's going on, when is their order gonna be shipped, etc... Source just ignored all of them and said thanks to the one positive review.

I respect a guy who can say "we underestimated how many orders we would get, gonna be backed up for a week while we catch up"

Bad attitude from a source would put me right off (seen a perfect example of this in the underground recently!!). I personally have never had an issue, and seems rare - but as certain threads/posts show, it happens!! Do your research - and trust your instincts.
Just because this isn’t like buying from a high street store, a certain amount of professionalism from them should still be expected.

One of the things that always makes me wary of a source is those who accept payment by bank transfer. Most sources deal in digital currency because it's harder for the authorities to trace it. If they accept bank transfer then maybe they aren't that worried about getting caught because there's no active ingredient in their gear so what could they charge them with? Another thing that makes me wary is sources that sell all the labs that the other sources sell. E.g. SIS, Onyx, Gentech, Pharmaqo etc. And if you know for a fact that one of the labs they stock is bunk then why would any of the others be any better. They're not going to sell a decent lab alongside crap ones are they !
Same applies to the individual labs themselves. Beware of labs that have every steroid known to man. The time money, resources and expertise required to produce all of those different steroids would be phenomenonal. It's most likely the same oil in every vial regardless of what's on the label. The good labs tend to stick to about a dozen strong favourites such as Test E , Deca, Tren etc.
