Hi Meso Members,

I'd like to open up this poll to check how we are all doing in the resting heart rate department. Most stuff that we use increase our RHR through various mechanisms. AAS, HGH, GLP peptides and stimulants are the biggest contributors. It would be nice if you can comment below and give us some background on your heart rate variance when using different compounds. If you employed certain strategies to manage RHR with success also please share.

Most of us probably have a wearable to track RHR, if not please give your best estimation.

With HGH, reta and 10mg ivabradine it was still 83. Few days ago i raised it to 15mg and i hope it gets lower.

My baseline with just peds was 67, after HGH went to 73-75 and with reta went up to 92. Then i started dabbling with ivabradine
Those are big bumps. Measured by your smart watch?

Reta also is a massive offender for me. Tirz was a lot milder on my RHR. Thinking to swap back to Tirz during cuts.

Mid 90s without meds
18mg/week reta, hgh 10IU

Neb 5mg + Iva 7.5mg 2x/day + Cilni 10mg drops it to the mid 70s.

Iva has a short h/l so you need to dose it twice, with food.

Typically RHR increases as well, as BP drops.
However i believe this response isn't present if you use Cilnidipine.

Where were you at before lowering it? Any side from Ivabradine? Some people report lethargia.
I started it because with stimulants, reta and AAS I was almost at 100. I stopped the stimulants and started ivabradine, it drops around 80 the first day and now it is stabilized at 60-70 most days, usually at 62 while sitting. Pretty happy, no sides except some weird vision stuff when I wake up (from full dark to light). It goes away in a minute.

Low 50s until Reta and GH were added in May. It increased to the low/mid 60s

Reta was removed after July and now RHR is hanging out in the upper 50s with continued to GH use

All data according to whoop

Yeah unfortunately they are. TBH i don't pay much attention to my smartwatch, I've only taken into account what my BP device says each time i measure BP. Reta did a number on me too.

I'd keep the same amount of ivabradine because 10mg with 3,3 IU HGH and 3,5mg reta dropped it from 92 to around 77 but recently i raised HGH to 8 IU and it creeped up again. Probably it will get stable again in a while and with the added 5mg of ivabradine I'm hoping to see a ~75

I just want to start off by saying this is an excellent thread. Been following along and it really hits home with where I’m at right now.

For context: I ran an 18-week blast starting back in April, and the effect on my HRV and resting heart rate was dramatic both went downhill badly. What’s concerning is that things still haven’t bounced back the way I’d expected.

I should add that I’ve been running GH consistently since January (pretty low 2–3 IU most days). Reta only came into the picture in July, and I’ve gradually brought that up to ~3 mg per week. So while the hgh and reta are no doubt additive, in my case it really feels like the blast was the main driver. It wasn't even a blasting many people's books. Modest test only as I respond well. Back on Cruise.

Before this, I had decent hrv swings and decent recovery markers. Now it’s like I’ve lost that flexibility altogether, and none of the above seems to be moving the needle. Honestly, it’s a concern.

Next step for me is testing Ivabradine to see if that can help reset things a bit.

Curious if anyone else here has noticed the same persistence in elevated resting heart rate / trashed HRV post-blast, and what’s actually made a difference in recovery for you.

For me HGH is the main HRV violator, any dose will tank it for me it seems. Also intense training will drop HRV for me especially during blasts. 4iu HGH will increase RHR 6-7 points for me.

I also have Ivabradine incoming to support when needed during my next blast which started today. I expect my RHR to go up into the low 80s which already feels uncomfortable to me.

I woukd try dropping the HGH and taking a deload week, see what happens.

Ok, going to implement that today. Its only on here that I've realised that hgh and glp1s are causing this for people.

Always amazes me that some people couldn't care less about rhr changes or hrv, if there basic bloods are OK. I'm not in that camp. Good to see others aren't either.

I was waiting for this from lots of time, my peak low was 36 but change a lot on fatigue heat and when i trained

Mine was 58 before starting GLP-1. Now 68 on Reta. Didn’t notice much of a change switching from tirz to Reta in terms of heart rate. Also use 5 iu GH and 650 mg week of gear. And a lot (way too much) of caffeine.
