What a weekend,,,

This weekend my Mom and I received some mighty help,,,My Uncle and Cousin visited,,,My cous is an Assembly of God minister,,,She also has worked with the elderly(that I did not know),,,My Uncle(he's 86) built a ramp so I can get Mom to the car and shower,,,My cous got Mom to walk(Mom was sandbagging me),,,I learnt that Mom needs tons of encouragement, actually I was in need of some myself,,,but I am now greatly encouraged,,,You've got to understand, these are two people that I hardly got along with in the past,,,but now my Uncle and I share a deep affection for each other,,,My cous and I have been getting along ever since we both got saved,,,I don't celebrate any holidays,,,To me everyday is to celebrated,,,but you could say that the Lord gave Mom and I a great present,,,
Remember to keep each other encouraged,,,Enjoy,,,VDC

My mom is 89 and broke her hip about 9 months ago. We thought she was gonna die. Then we never figured she'd be able to walk again. Well, today she was bouncing around today like a kid when I went over to see her.. She's excited cause she's gonna see all the grandkids at Xmas. I think I am gonna get her a pair of adidas.

That is great news, VDC! All of us need encouragement as we live out our daily lives, and most of us probably need much more encourangement that we realize.

Don't celebrate Holidays? What are you, a Jehovah's Witness? (LOL)

It's kinda funny how we can be sinking and not even know it. We tend to get so focused on other things (some that are important and others that are not so important) that we lose sight of the fact we're standing in a foot of water. Yet we keep on trudging through, oblivious to the fact that it's getting harder and harder to walk. We know something isn't quite right but we don't take the time to figure it out. Then God comes along and says, "Hey, you know your walking around in a foot of water? Why don't you come up here to higher ground where walking isn't so wearysome? What a great and wonderful thing that God looks on us with favor, and want's the best for us. So much so that He sends out servants to encourage us in time of need.

That truely is a blessing.
