Well boys… might be the end of gear for me.

Hmmm well I wasn’t expecting this. Got re tested

Elevated iron, tibc, & saturation. Mostly due to my TRT I believe. But I’m not a doctor or fully understand its role with testosterone. Other than it raises certain things and draws from ferritin.

And then a lower side ferritin level.

That definitely explains all of my issues I think?
Not sure if missed it, do you donate blood frequently?

All steroids promote red blood cell production, hence people having issues with a high hematocrit/hemoglobin.

Most people then donate which also tanks ferritin (iron) storage of the body leading to other issues

So initially 8 weeks ago. I donated blood because of very elevated RBC/Hemo/Hema

Mean while I believe having every symptom of iron deficiency.

Arm weakness. Calf pain. Extremely Winded after any small physical activity. High heart rate. Dizzy. Weak. Dry skin. Restless legs. Ear ringing. ALL OF THE SYMPTOMS

Any sort of lifting or difficult physical activity such as lifting. My heart feels like it’ll Beat out of chest. And I’m very weak and dizzy. Takes about an hour for the weakness to go away.

Like 36 ferritin level at 27 6’3 225… that should be concerning no?

My doctor just said well your labs are fine, actually your iron is high. So stop any iron supplements and decrease your iron intake.

I don’t take anything with iron. No red meat. No supplements In 8 weeks.

I donated blood routinely for 20 years no had no issues with low ferritin.
I would take iron supplements for a week or 2 after donating usually.
As high iron levels are associated with shorter life spans i try not to let my iron levels get to high which is another reason that i donate.

Yup. Yet I have low ferritin and my doctor is like stop all iron.
Pretty counter intuitive given my issues.

Update.
Endocrinologist just printed out 6 pages of lab orders to do.

They’re concerned with a major head injury I had from motocross, my thyroid, and labs.

And the kicker!

After an Ultrasound. My thyroid has nodules all over it. Have to do a biopsy in two weeks.

That Sucks Brother... Keep your fingers crossed.

ON THE PLUS SIDE, we live in a time period where doctors have access to amazing info and testing services. They'll find out what's wrong and prescribe an MO to get you back to normal. IN my fathers time, they'd 'spit on your wound, say a couple of Hail Mary's and then send you home!', ... so try not to worry.

Yeah no kidding haha. Thank god for medical advances.
The thyroid nodules/bumps are probably nothing. But they’re doing a full work up.
(Family history & typically they’re 95% benign)

I’m hoping something comes back off in my labs. So we have the answers and know what needs to be fixed.
Real tired of feeling like I’m dying out of nowhere!

Doing a bone density test, I’m wearing a CGM, 6 pages of blood labs ( things I’ve never heard of)
Checking all my glands for proper function. Etc
Fingers crossed I get answers

Have you listed all the Supplements you are taking and doses?

There might be something in there you're reacting to... Just a thought !

New update.

I’ve had a stress test & echocardiogram done.
(Waiting for results)

Finally getting labs done tomorrow for damn near everything.

Also had an ultrasound on my testicles.

Still heavily fatigued, weak and dizzy. Out of it. And still no gym or anything.

Ferritin is also 66+ slowly rising
So it’s not iron related.

Thyroid biopsy next Thursday

Just a wondering… have u been tested for any clotting issues?? Dizzyness, fatigue, weakness, other than the iron issue, id get all that checked for any mutations towards blood clotting disorders as well

D-dimer and white blood cell count

I’ll have to double check my lab orders. I’ve never had clotting issues. But that’s a good point to check out

Low dose aspirin daily
& now natto 8,000

Still waiting to see my endo here in two days. See if anything pops up on my labs, she pulled so many different tests the computer was denying her, so it had to be made into multiple lab orders, they pulled like 30 tubes as well.

Just went back in for more. Testing for antibodies for Addisons disease

Thyroid biopsy and going over other lab results tomorrow

Keep yall posted

Echo and stress test came back.
Cardiology said it all came back normal.

So the copious amounts of gear and pre workout/energy drinks hasn’t done any noticeable damage.
Granted I’ve dropped my caffeine intake pretty much. Maybe 200mg a day.

So I don’t remember a lot. Bare with me.
Brain fog for days and woozy.

No real answers yet.
Not gonna lie it’s annoying how this office does things. Stupid policies. Got into an argument with them over it. They initially denied me my appointments.
-
Anyways. Got the biopsy. Results in two weeks.

As well as a growth hormone and cortisol stimulation test 5/7/25… to check my adrenal glands. Test is like 4 hours long… wtf.

Not all my labs came in because I got them done on Monday.
Maybe those will have answers. And the other tests too.
-
Doctor prescribed me Adex due to higher estrogen (I feel great e2/Test wise) but I got a adex prescription now lol.
Won’t take it unless I need to.
-
Basically. No true answers.

But I might have reactive hypoglycemia. Whether that’s a larger issue or not we don’t know yet.
Even at 6’3 220 relatively lean with no gym and no true diet because of my problems. I now have to deal with that shit.

Random meals & Higher carb meals are making my glucose drop to 54-55 mg/dl sometimes. after 3-4 hours I’ll peak 150-170.
And other random glucose crashes thru the day.

Fun times.

Ok so… e2 wether u want to bring it down or not its up to u, lots of bro science on wether or not it should rise as ur test rises or wether u should lower it… id use aromason over adex personally, ½ dose of course… usually come in 25 ml tablets and u will know if u crash ur estrogen because ur joints will hurt like hell

Reactive hypoglycemia is what i have as well… eat then it crashes then it spikes…. Maybe a culprit towards the dizzies… my urologist put me on crap ur pants metformin…. It works but u gotta time it right…

Any pituitary tumors perhaps? Or even adrenal tumors or issues checked?
