I do tri-tips once a week on the traeger. Works great and inexpensive.View attachment 122504

It's a triangular cut of meat off the sirloin. You can usually get them pre marinated at Costco or the grocery store. I get mine from a local butcher. I cook them on the traeger, but you can just BBQ them, I pull them when the internal temp is at 138°. Wrap in foil and let rest for 30 minutes, then cutIm not familiar with that cut!!! You can't get it everywhere in the US. It's everywhere on the west coast. I've found none in the south. And some in the midwest. Sliced thin and marinated from a mercado is the way to go if you can find it...tritip is bomb and the Mexicans now how to cook that shit.Im not familiar with that cut!!! Is it like beef tips? Fajitas is another name for it. Cheap and good. HEB sells it marinated and it's all over the south. Good stuff. You can't get it everywhere in the US. It's everywhere on the west coast.
