Water Consumption?

This may sound retarded... But don't knock it till you try it. I drink literally 4 liters of diet Sierra most or other non cola soda a day. Drys me the fuck out and I look way better and hold less water than if I had just drank water. I assume it's due to potassium and sodium content.

I drink seltzer water instead of soda..no cals no sugar or sodium. Better than plain water :)
 
I wouldn't pay much attention to any "how much should you drink" type of stuff because its literally impossible to quantify it for your specific situation.
You have to consider your caloric intake, macro ratio, activity levels, the weather, etc, etc.

If your thirsty then drink, if not then don't. No need to make this any more complicated imo.
 
I hear if you drink too much water it can actually dehydrate you because your pisssing it out before your body absorbs it. Not sure if it's true or not.

I feel like the sodium and carbonation would bloat me like a balloon, not dry me out.
 
I sweat like a motherfucker so I'll drink up to 8 litres on workout days but only 4-5 on rest days or when at work (I work indoors.
 
Typically I put down 1-1.5 gallons per day. Getting good ready for my first humid Texas summer so I'm sure that will double. During contest prep I drink 2.5 gallons per day.
 
My friend pulled this shit on me years ago, only the deal was 30 minutes to drink 1 gallon of water. It didn't go well at all. I was right down to the last 1/2 liter maybe, and I threw up harder than I've ever puked in my life. I had so much water in my stomach that I could bend forward and the water came back up and fell out of my mouth
I once chugged half a gallon of beer in couple minutes. Repeated it 20 min later.
