Not a powerlifter here (I'm a sprinter), but I'm curious if anyone has any experience with applying VBT (velocity-based training) principles to their lifting? Particularly using a device like the VMaxPro or Push band, or GymAware or Tendo, or anything similar. Have you had success? What kinds of insights did it offer you regarding your training/programming/periodization? Any other thoughts?
I just got a VMaxPro, and have been having some fun messing around with measuring bar path for olympics, and comparing power outputs between lifts, between reps within single lifts, and between weights and sets. Interesting to see where maximal peak and average powers and velocities happen, so far.
