Useful ways to find affordable Protein Powder?

Those deals were unbeatable. With the current prices and a 55% off code the 11 pound bag of whey comes out to about .50¢ a serving with taxes figured in. Not what it used to be, but still a good deal.
Yeah I'm still buying it. MyProtein is the best there is IMO. And the ConsumerLab testing proves they have good quality control and product. Between that and the price, I am a MyProtein whore 4 lyfe...wait no that's not quite right...I just eat the stuff...

Does anyone here use Casein protein? I will add some to dinner or dessert as a slow release protein. Just curious if anyone else uses this or if yall just stick to whey? I haven't found any vegan protein powder I like at all. They're just not tasty, higher in sodium, and harder on your stomach.

Alot, if it tastes decent.

I don't know how to flavor, unflavored whey to make it palatable if you have it in virtually every meal.

I add other foods to the whey depending on depending on goals. I like some base flavor though. It helps when you eat the same meal over thousands of times.

Thankyou for the link

You could use things like chocolate syrup (like what youd use to make a glass of chocolate milk) to make it a chocolate whey. You could add kool-aid powder and a hint of sugar (or splenda) to make it whatever flavor the kool-aid is. You could add it into a bottle of gatorade. Add it into a fruit or vegetable smoothie, Etc. Of course thats if you plan to drink it.

You can add it into certain food items depending on the food. I used to make these date/fig/prune/walnut balls that id add unflavored whey into to up their protein content. Just take dates, figs, prunes and walnuts and chop them up in a food processor then sprinkle in some whey and mix, then roll into golf-ball sized balls that are easily portable, etc.

Really versatile when its unflavored, imaginations the only limit on what you can do with it.

Protein powder in: pumpkin pudding; oatmeal; cookies; yogurt; baked breads and cakes, pancakes/waffles/French toast; eveb stuff like apple crisps.

One thing I find amazing: mashed baked sweet potatoes. I use like 6-8 lbs at a time.
1. Bake them until they are very well cooked, super sweet! Thisbis critical, boiling WILL NOT WORK (okay, you can "make it happen" by asding extra maple syrup but it just aint the same!!!
2. Then peel and mix with a minimal olive oil/ butter as possible
3. Add in like 1 cup milk to start.
4. Add in like a 1/4-1/2 tspb salt and like 1 tbsp maple syrup
5. Start mixing with th me electric mixer. Add more milk if it is too chunky. It must be liquid-y enough to use the electric hand mixer to get a nice smooth mashed consistency)
5. Enjoy!

I have used the following organic sweet potatoes for this recipe:
1. Garnet red sweet potatoes
2. Japanese purple
3. White sweet potatoes
4. Beauregard sweet potatoes
All of them are amazing. I think the white ones go best with maple syrup, where as the garnet or Beauregard are better plain :)

Then, I will weigh out 200-300 grams of the mashed sweet potato mix, heat it up, and throw a scoop of whey in there. It tastes amazing and gives you a nice protein carb hit. If you want a little more savory, throw a couple overeasy eggs and some spinach on top and let the yolks mix in with the mashed sweet potatoes. Want a dessert? Throw some strawberry preserves in there for a hint of fruit, or some dark chocolate chips (55-85% cacao, depending on your taste) and a dash of cloves. Wanna add some fat and more creamy flavor? Warm it up and melt some cream cheese in there (I only buy organic Valley Plain Cream Cheese from Pasture Raised cows, that shit is on another level I swear) with some cinnamon. Even cacao powder isbdelicious too! I swear there is endless possibilities. It is an amazing dessert, breakfast, power workout meal. I fucking love it. Mashed sweet potatoes are super versatile and being able to add 1 scoop (25 grams of whey) to each bowl of 200-300 grams really actually makes for a macro friendly.

I encourage everyone to give baked mashed sweet potatoes with whey protein and some extra flavors a try!!

Someone should start a thread for whey-infused recipe ideas. Its pretty versatile stuff especially unflavored whey as it has very minimal taste thats easily masked by practically anything.

Not my wife, i wish. Some random girl from Recife, Brazil. Stumbled on her facebook somehow and that was her profile pict. Dat ass doe... damn.

I also switched a couple of years ago to MYProtein. They have good quality and discounts all the time, so the price is very good. And the richness of flavors is great. There is generally a large assortment. The guys are doing a good job.

Updating an old thread. Any good deals out after inflation? My protein was $93 shipped for a 5.5 pound bag. That's with a 45% off code. Lol

Costco. I wait for it to go on sale, then go nuts. Optimum Nutrition blend, 5.64 lb typically goes on sale for mid-$40s.

Edit: Just checked my receipt from the last sale -- $49 a bag.

There's also fancier stuff like Ascent and Isopure but I don't see the need really.
