I think it was a DUI which precluded him from officer school. Technically, I don't think I have any convictions on my record, but I have several charges.

Sort of strange that a tendency towards violence would make them uninterested in someone. I guess that's why they say "Military Intelligence" is an oxymoron.

Well, theres this whole category thing they go by... six or more traffic violations(speeding etc) in the last year = ineligible; two or more failure to appears or DUI's in a three year period or four in a life time = ineligible; something like that. That's not the exact numbers, but you get the idea. I looked it up on about.com a while back...
