Add the governor of Louisiana to the list then. She had full authority to bring in the Natl Guard, FEMA and other agencies as soon as Bush declared LA in a state of emergency two days before the hurricane. Im not saying the federal reaction was great, but the governor specifically declined to allow groups in to LA to help. Even the mayor of NO pretty much blasted the governor this morning on Meet the Press.

I certainly wouldnt call myself a neocon. While I voted for Bush, I dont think hes doing nearly as well as all the Rep talking heads say. I disagree with a great deal of what has happened (or not happened) over the past few years.

As for Ms. Sheehan, she is a political activist who has been a Bush hater for quite a while now. Why did she changed her opinion of Bush months and months AFTER she originally met with him and said that he was a caring man, obviously felt grieved for the loss of her son, and so on? I feel bad that she lost her son. But he was a big boy and volunteered to serve the US. Soldiers dont get to pick and choose what battles they go to based on their political beliefs. Ive never heard anything about how Casey actually felt about the war from any of his fellow soldiers or friends. Ms. Sheehan can say virtually anything she wants, thats her right, but I still have no respect for her at all. All in all, Im glad Bush left Crawford so there would be something on the news besides this woman having a vigil with all her other far-left supporters, like MoveOn.org and the like.

LOL...who said I hated dissent. You assume that I hate those whom dissent, which is hardly true. I disagree with many of the things that the Bush administration has done. I adamantly disagree with my Republican governor who has more or less corrupted and ruined my state...so don't act like you know who I am Greyowl.

What I hate about Cindy Sheehan is not that she dissents but rather the fact that she is unable to stay on topic while trying to make a valid point. She is so fucking worked up about GWB that she starts rambling on about a Palestinian state and an Israeli conspiracy. If she believes that, then fine...but when you are trying to turn an entire country against a President in hopes that he will abandon his morals and beliefs and then cut and run from Iraq, you really need to stay on point. She had a large percentage of people behind her; but when she started rambling on and on with all her stupid Michael Moore shit she lost a lot of support.
