Two different eGFR numbers, one blood draw... Quest

I had blood drawn on 10 OCT.... have some preliminary numbers. used Goodlabs....to source a Quest set.of labs.

i have received two eGFR numbers in the preliminary report...i am guessing that some of the packages overlapped and i got Two eGFR tests??

has this happened to anyone else?

also one number is normal the other is poor.... and it's kidneys... so kinda concerned. been on a blast 500 mg and Anavar 50 mg/day.... first time for both. just trying to process this conflicting information...

i have screen shotted my eGFR trend since last Feb.

That's definitely weird about the two eGFR numbers, especially with one being out of range. Hopefully, it's just a lab error and nothing serious!

this drop in EGFR would make me very concerned.
not necessarily the last one (which is also REALLY BAD), calculated off cystatin C (more accurate, Creatinine is only useful when you are in late stage kidney failure). YOur kidneys are getting hit HARD, and you should get serious kidney support, and go off all AAS. (especially VAR).
Your Kidneys are beyond cooked, lay off the stuff off a while.

Question for the "experts" here, I tested my cystatin C levels.

How does to look in your opinion?

Not great. Top of range. Unsure if the cystatin C assay you did was standardized. Post your CMP as well.

Yep, the trig/hdl ratio (or Apo B as well) plus inflammation markers (hs-crp, homocysteine) need some work if we are trying to be constructive.

Well, we’ll never know what your cystatin c was before but there’s a possibility var being the culprit. I ran it once and had kidney pain, there’s plenty of reports here mentioning kidney pain from var and a couple elevated cystatin c test after using var.

This outcome shows stage 2 CKD. Sort it out asap and obviously stay away from var and high androgen load in general until you figure that out. Creatinine and egfr based on creatinine is a joke, it’s not a marker we can count on for kidney function. Stay safe man.

Also, fix your lipids. That apob is very high.

The fact you have a normal creatinine vs a high cystatin is kinda concerning. Usually an acute kidney injury starts with an elevated creatinine while a chronic injury will creep up on you. Have you ever had a cystatin test in the past?

Id also vote on seeing a good nephrologist (not your primary doc).

no edema or swelling... though starting a week ago i began to experience significant skin sensitivity... which i am guessing is my RETA....? back in April i felt exactly like this as i titrated up the RETA scale....a week ago i was at 10 mg/week RETA.

today i scaled it back to 8mg... will see if it subsides.

i think you are correct...just wasted 30 min trying to contact them. Their portal is pretty useful, gave me decent interp and follow up plan...including go see a Dr in this case....

Very Interesting, I ran the calculator and how about this...! the eGFR numbers came out exactly as listed on my blood work, 76 and 56....(now i realize its a forumla....but i cant say i really understand all it is doing)....

76 refers to using the CKD-EPI Creatinine 2021 formula
56 refers to using the CKD-EPI Cystain C 2012 formula

This spits out my CKD classification of G3a/A1....Moderate Risk of Progression OR....G2/A1, right now indicating not CKD and low risk of progression.....hoping you all have more interp on this....How I am taking it is ....stop the PEDs...clean out, keep exercising...see a Dr. whom will do my bloods again and then we will have something to compare to....thoughts?
