I often wonder how people can put any trust in a public statement made by an organization composed of spooks. Deceiving people is what they do. It's part of their job description, and they have a very long history of doing just that outside the US and (illegally) inside the US. Additionally, the CIA allegedly leaked this to the Washington Post, an organization with an amazingly and provable dishonest recent history. The Post then produces a story leaving out essential information that didn't fit their narrative, like the fact the CIA has zero evidence of Wikileaks receiving the leaked emails from Russia, and only circumstantial evidence of Russian hackers getting the emails or being sponsored by their government.
On the other hand, Assange and Wikileaks have released hundreds of thousands of leaked documents, none of which has ever been shown to be inauthentic. Not one. Those documents have made public illegal activities of both parties in the US as well as numerous illegal CIA activities, illegal activities of other governments INCLUDING RUSSIA, and illegal corporate activities around the world.
Face it, Assange and Wikileaks are far more credible than either the CIA or the Washington Post. Assange says the leaks didn't come from Russia, and I believe him. The CIA is producing its own version of fake news for its own purposes, and considering those obvious purposes, YOU should be concerned about who is influencing the CIA.
