Two people are traveling in seperate cars. They each travel 100 hundred miles, they each travel at 55mph for the first 50 miles and 65mph the second 50 miles. They each make 15 minute stops. Car number 1 stops during the first 50 miles. Car number 2 stops during the second 50 miles. What is the order in which they finish? ;)

Are they going to the same destination, at the same time?

yes they leave from the same destination, take the same route( straight line) and leave at the exact same time.

car 1 finishes first.... during the breaks car one travels 16.25 miles while car 2 is on break, and car 2 travels 13.75 miles while car one is on break....

60mins / 15mins = 4

55 / 4 = 13.75
65 / 4 = 16.25

thats just my guess, cause it seems too easy to say they arrived at the same time...

probably.... just cause its another answer than what they had..... but i guess if you look at it... they both traveled the same distances at the same speeds and
stopped for the same period of time.... so whatever, when are you going to post the damn answer!!!! hahahhaa

Yes they both average 55 for the first 50 miles and 65 for the second 50 miles both with exactly 15 minute stops.

hey.. did you just say "they both average", does that include the stops?, if so then they arrive at the same time and the 15 mins stops are for confusion only!

car one wins because car 2 stopped while car 1 was traveling at a faster speed... i think??
did someone already say that????

it doesn't matter they both travel at 55mph for the forst 50 miles and 65mph the second 50 miles, they both stop for exactly 15 minutes, one the first 50 miles one the second 50 miles.

yeah but the if you are sitting in one spot for 15 minutes and one car is traveling away from you at 65 mph and the other at 55mph whick one is going to be further away from you? the one trveling at 65mph right? so wouldn't that car get there first?
