Too Much Tuna?

I eat at least one can of tuna a day. I find it hard to hit my protein for the day without it. People have been warning me that I will get stupid (actually stupider) from the mercury. I only eat solid white in water right out of the can. I googled it and found out that the solid white was highest in mercury. How much is safe to eat? Any alternatives? What I have at my disposal in my shop is; a can opener, plastic forks and spoons, a strainer and a microwave. I am already eating yogurt and kidney beans and still having a hard time with 230gr of protein a day. BTW I have limited time to shop and prepare so everything must be grab and go from the supermarket in the morning. The only thing I prepare ahead of time is hard boiled eggs at six a day

Thanks
Rocco

Your not putting enough effort in.
230g should be a breeze. I do double everyday.
Prepare at night before bed. It requires a little sacrifice

I get up at 0300 ED hit the gym then go run 12-14 at the job. Leaves me with about 1 hour after work to shower, eat dinner and prep. Then off to bed for about 5-6 hrs. Never enough time but I get it done

I don't have a problem with effort, what I lack is knowledge. Could you give a quick list of you protein? I have problems with sugar and one quart of fat free milk is pushing the limit. I make about a half pound of dry chicken breast every night for dinner. I try to keep carbs to a minimum and eat only one bag of steamed veggies a day. Will power is not the problem. Just figuring out what to eat is the problem. Do you think the tuna is excessive or will it be ok?

I have close to the same scheduled, I just start later in the day and stay up later.

My wife keeps telling me to stop complaining since I only work half days. I said you must be kidding, I go in at 9am and don't finish until 9pm? She stated that is only 12 hours and there are 24 hours in a day. In her world that is working half a day. Woman are heartless.

I only get 6 hours sleep also and was worried that might be hindering gains?

I don't concern myself with the mercury warnings. Why? Because if I concerned myself with environmental issue effecting our food supply I wouldn't eat a damn thing. People are paranoid

My protein for the day you ask?
Well currently it looks like this:

1 shake, banana, pop tart then GYM
2 shake pwo
3 4 eggs, 1/2 kielbasa, 1 cup Greek yogurt, blueberry bagel
4 pork chop with 1/2 cup baked beans
5 pasta of any sort with sauce and diced tomatoes, hamburger w/o bun
6 1/2 turkey breast split in to 4 pcs of bread, apple
7 big steak, mashed taters, salad, whole milk

Typical of m-f
450-480 g protein
4800-5100 cals

Hope that helps. I vary up when I get sick of menu items

Nah, arnold says sleep faster. I drop dead from exhaustion on Saturday mornings tho. So it does catch up to me. But all i do is keep growing and growing with 6 hrs a night

You get a day off? Nice! Seven days a week when you own your own business. I am at work right now hoping to finish around 1pm so I can enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Is what it is.
Some times I get so tired I think is it all worth it? Run a hectic training schedule and family and job.

It's a choice I made and i plan to see it thru. I don't like being lazy any way. I worked my 20's away. Had zero life. I won't let my 30's disappear the same way. I want some thing to show for my youth :)

Banana, pop tart', blueberry bagel,1/2 cup baked beans, pasta, bread, mashed taters. My blood sugar would be in the 300's and I would be in the ER. Everything else is looks good and I will try it out. The diced tomatoes are my favorite. I use a can of flavored delMonte and a can of Shoprite dark red organic kidney beans(the lowest in sodium) and heat in the micro. I might get a rotisserie chicken at Costco on the way home

You dont have the ability to cook chicken in advanced and bring it with you to work in a plastic sandwich bag? I used to just put my chicken breats in a bag and eat it straight out of the bag so i didnt touch it with my dirty hands when i was working

That sounds just like me. Thats how I get down, use the fuckin bag as a glove an eat away lol.

Plus ain't nobody got time to be washing 5 things of tupperware every night.
Haha thats why I started drinking my eggs raw rather than cooking them an dirtying up more dishes. Also @Rocco the Dog I believe it takes way more than one can of tuna a day for the mercury to fuck with ya. Let me research an ill get back to ya.

I think you will be ok with one can per day but I would do a heavy metal detox a few times per year. Add in some Chlorela daily and take in as much cilantro as possible as both of these leach heavy metals from the body
