Thoughts on Skiploading?

I’ve been reading up on this for a few days now. Skiploading and it’s benefits for fat loss. Basically Ken Hill “Skip”, has this protocol where you deplete yourself on a moderate to low carb diet for 6 days, then carb up on low-fat/high GI carbs for a window of time on the 7th day. (More lean, longer window, depending on how you respond to previous skiploads) Not counting calories ingested, just going until hunger goes away. I feel that could be detrimental to a cut, cals in vs. cals out. Majority of people say it works, and use it on prep. Here’s a link to the protocol/more info on the subject, it’s a good read.

Figured I’d ask experiences and thoughts on the protocol.

Yea essentially, but instead of having set macros that day, you eat until your full. For me that’d be like 8-10k calories, on a good day haha. I know with ckd and the traditional carb-up, you have a set number you shoot for to maintain the constant deficit. I’ve read up a lot and people majority of the time have progressively lost weight. Seems off just because I know cals in vs cals out. Also note they aren’t doing drastic deficits either throughout the week. So kind of interesting to say the least.
