Thoughts on John Meadows Warlock intermediate program

So, I have been weight training for nearly five years. About seven years ago, I lost a lot of weight on keto and wanted to fill out my body as I lost a lot of muscle during my weight loss. After a year of using a 5x5 program, I switched to a Jeff Nippard program and ran that for years. Two weeks ago, I bought and started Meadows Warlock intermediate program. I’m loving the program but it is keeping me sore practically every day. I suspect the soreness will subside as time passes. I am on a test and EQ cycle. Any thoughts on this program?

Are you getting sufficient rest?
What does your Nutrition look like?
not too familiar with meadows intermediate program, but his Training volume/Intensity always seemed reasonable to me.

In all honesty, I’m probably not getting sufficient rest. I’m getting home daily around 630pm, in bed by 830pm, up at 4am and at the gym by 5am. But, I rest on the weekends. I am following Justin Harris’ carb cycling plan. I am loving the workout program, but I’m just sore often. Maybe I’m too old to start this level of weight training? ;)

If the volume increased from your previous program you can expect to be sore until you get accustomed to the new program.

I’ve run a few of Meadows’ programs and they can be brutal. Especially the leg days. Good luck to you!
