This is fucking laughable!

So the presumption here is that minorities are unable to meet the standards of their white counterparts. So the solution is to remove the standard because the root cause is race!!

This is racist as all shit and demonstrably untrue. The biggest predictors of academic success is parental involvement and parental socio-economic status.

Why won't a single Dem tackle the root cause? Can the truly believe that success is tied to race? Why continue to push the welfare system for minorities?

Wouldn't helping people feel equity in their communities be a better solution? How about zero interest loans to start small businesses? What about true educational reform (peer system, platonic schools etc.) Figure how to provide the tools for upward mobility?

If I were a minority I’d be insulted. She’s basically implying that they’re incapable of meeting the current standards.

Also, if someone is unable to read and do mathematics at a university scholastic level, how do you ever expect them to succeed in courses at that level?

Lowering standards is almost never the answer. All it does is decrease the overall quality of graduates. If certain groups are under-performing, figuring out why that’s the case and implementing programs to improve their performance is infinitely preferable to lowering the bar and saying “Fuck it. Good enough.”

Well, my wife is an immigrant(legally) and a minority. Her parents both worked multiple jobs and were very involved in her education. She graduated with a mathematics degree (don’t forget mathematics is racist now).

She has achieved many things professionally since her graduate. Lifts 5-6 days a week and is hot as all hell, hehe.
Yeah, she’s pretty damn offended by this crap going on. The people who need assistance the most are now told they don’t have to achieve anything

As a note: She went to NYC public schools in a area where 75%+ do not speak English as a first language.

question: You have two candidates for a job that you need to fill. One can read, write and do math, other one can’t. Provided this is a job that requires those things, which many do, who isn’t getting the job?
No offense to jobs that don’t require those things, your not less of a person. Those jobs require skills that others don’t have as well.

Lowering of standards isn’t good for anybody, no matter race. It the school is the problem, address that.

It’s all political, pandering for votes while the country gets dumber and lazier.

I agree. Lowering educational standards is definitely not a solution. If anything a greater emphasis should be placed on increasing federal funding in school districts that lack the resources that more affluent areas enjoy. That is the reason for the discrepancy found in some minorities. It has absolutely nothing to do with ability.

The question is, what does this country do with students who have received an inferior education. I don't believe that anyone can argue that some schools provide better educational opportunities, and much of that discrepancy is found in communities of color.

Literally people belittling others of there same race as “acting white” if they achieve anything academically or professionally. It’s pathetic to see people with no drive try to bring others down.
They’re not trying “act white,” they just want to make something of themselves and get ridiculed for it.
God help the black person who through freedom of choice identifies as a Republican or, oh no, a Conservative.

In these discussions about nonwhites not achieving the same academically it is interesting to consider how Asians get left out of the subject almost entirely

I have to admit I see Asians quite differently. From what I've seen from my own personal experience, many Asian cultures (parents) seem to push academic learning onto their offspring to the point of causing tremendous stress to the children. I can find many articles about the suicide rates in China and Japan that involve students who feel like they bring shame onto their families for not getting tops grades. To a lesser degree, this seems to apply to Asian Americans. Not so much the suicide for not succeeding but the pressure to do very well in school is very apparent.

In 2021, you see the democrat party rising to power by convincing poor colored people that all of thier problems, like the poor performance of Schools in places like Baltimore, Detroit and Los Angeles, or the conditions of those places and people, are not because of the democrat party politicians that have been in charge of running those places, but because of poor racist whites living in trailer parks outside the city limits

Imagine the stupidity of such a notion. That academic performance differences in colleges are the fault of people who don't attend those schools, or live in those communities. But that's what you're seeing as we speak. It's manipulation and fear propaganda designed by people well versed in human psychology, for the purpose of manipulation and control.

The African American citizens of this country will never achieve anything collectively, until they can break free from the malevolence, manipulation and control of the democrat party. Same goes for working class white and Hispanic people.

I live in north Carolina for awhile.. the black guys I went to school with were way more respectful and just more enjoyable to be friends with I don't have rhe proper words to describe it so I don't wanna explain it wrong. Then living in New Jersey near Camden Atlantic city and the near Newark i never got along for the black guys as well.. if there was a group of them they always acted alot different then one on one.. I don't k ow why the big difference I'm sure there's there's legitimate reason maybe idk. I thought since slavery was biggest in tje South ot would of been the opposite bkt it wasn't. .. I loved NC and i an to move my family down there in tje near future.. the schools and way of life were just so much better and healthier
