Everyone is a fucking hero all of a sudden. I don't see you guys enlisting. Our country needs help in the military so go serve. It's a fact that we need help so go help out. You'd fucking run like a pussy. There's no way you'd want to go over there.

The fact is that you're 19 and you don't know shit. You're probably just reciting some shit your closest group of friends belive in.

Bush is a fucking religious retard and it's impossible to run the country that way. The only thing religion does is bring about bloodshed. It always has and it always will. Guess what guys, Jesus isn't coming. I just spoke to him and he said he was too busy trying to fill everyone's christmas list.

yeah, since i'm 19 i don't know shit, that's it. if it were the case that i'm convinced about what i believe i would be a nuts liberal due to the fact that i live in chicago. you don't know shit about me, and my friends have a varying range of what they believe politically.

you clearly don't understand, what i said was that if i have to go, i will. i choose to do something else with my life. so, don't say shit about what i would or wouldn't do.

as for the religious thing, i'm not at all. i don't think that religion should be implented into politics, which he also does with the gay marriage thing and i don't agree with. there is a problem with terrorism though, and we need to do something about it then just sit here and do nothing if you don't think so you're living in a fairy tale. tell me, what would your guy kerry do? you realize that he voted to go there, and also said that "if you don't think saddam is a threat with weapons of mass destruction then don't vote for me". what's his plan with respect to the war on terror? he'd say something like, there should be something done about it, well what should be done?

I would have no problem enlisting except that a broken neck about 9 years ago would keep me out of combat. I am "physically unable to perform" according to military standards.

At the ripe old ago of 15, I had 3 doctors wanting to fuse my top 5 vertebrae. Luckily, I avoided major surgery, but I will require treatment for the rest of my life.

First, I don't have a sister. Second, my dad would never do those things you mentioned. Second, that is a stupid ass analogy from an obviously uneducated person.

I have an MBA in Political Science from Seton Hall University
I also have 3 certificates, one each in Java, Microsoft and Linux.

How do you compare you little brainiac.

Sorry to hear about your neck though. Hope all goes well with that.

Hey, Kerry isn't my guy......I'm just anti-Bush. And if terrorism is such a problem then why Sadam and not Osama.

I have a B.S in Biology and a B.S. in Biochemistry. I was published several times as an undergrad. I was accepted to 3 medical schools, but decided that that was not the route I wanted to go as the medical field is rapidly going down hill. Many of my best friends are med students...and they were praying for a Bush victory. They viewed the Edwards pick as VP as a total slap in the face for the medical profession. So, I deferred my acceptances to other candidates applying.

I went into business with my family as they needed my help and it had become my true passion over the years.

I guess that's where our views come into play. I was accepted by the only 2 law schools I applied to but decided that the family business was my route as well. Plus, there are too many struggling lawyers.

WEll, it sounds like we have relatively similar backgrounds and that is what is great about this country. We are similar in certain ways, and yet so different in our views. Neither view is right nor wrong...it is just an opinion.

I think you and I can both agree that business is very rewarding. I can only speak for myself, but I made the right choice. I do not envy my freinds in med school at all. I talked to my buddy the other day whom just passed his boards and has moved onto his 3rd year. His 3rd loan package was approved: and at the young ago of 24, he is now $122K in debt!!!!

I couldn't agree more. We can debate all day and at the end it's still just a matter of opinion. That debt must suck. I re-paid my 30k in school loans and it was a nightmare while it lasted. I can't imagine getting that far in.

Yeah, he just got married too. His wife is a spanish teacher, so she's bringing in enough to pay the car payments and car insurance....but he has to include all his other living expenses in his loans. And, he still has one more year.

ON top of that, he will be looking at a 3-6 year residency (depending on his specialty)...during that time he'll make about $35K/year....hard to pay back loans on that amount of money.

I don't think you have to while you're in the residency stage, isn't it when you've completed that.

It depends really. You can opt out of payment, but IMO you are stupid if you do. Hell, you don't get a real paycheck until you are 32 years old. Might as well start paying on it asap.

Agreed. But I still voted for Bush. It'll snow in the middle of summer on the equator before I or anyone in my family would ever vote for a democrat.

i am 34 and working my ass off for my family. i have three children and a lovely wife. while working 40 hours a week i still find time to attend school and am working towards my degree in psych. my oldest is 10 and i've missed only two school/extracaricular activities he has been in. i do not have the fancy college credentials either of you have. i do not have the years of college each of you have. i do have several years of ARMY under my bealt though. was their the first time. saw first hand the destruction sadman caused. i agree it's a different war than terrorism. i also agree it must be done. maybe if i hit the books harder and recieve several degrees i may see things differently. maybe i will forget what i saw the first time we were over their. maybe....but i doubt it.

experience and real life has formed my opinions. maybe you should take some time and talk to people who lived in iraq and some of the soldiers who were over their and saw the horrible things this dictator had done. i'm not saying my opion is right. i'm saying my opinion is based on what i've seen, heard and experienced.

....and you should be commended for working your ass off and taking care of your family! As a man, you should step up to the plate and do whatever is necessary to take care of your wife and kids. You have apparently done that and still seek to better the lives of you and your family....that is nice to see.

My dad always says "every generation must get better". I agree with that. I don't have any kids yet, but when I do, I want them to have every opportunity in the world to succeed. And I'll do everything in my power to ensure that happens.

I'm 24 years old. I am not afraid of being drafted because I don't think it will ever happen. But, If I get drafted, I'll go wherever they want me to go and serve my country. Am I willing to die for it?? Yes.

Go and serve your country right now tough guy. Do you think that the military needs you any less now than it would under draft conditions?

http://www.goarmy.com/contact/how_to_join.jsp

By joining now, you are actually able to better serve your county because it may delay a potential draft. draftees are generally less motivated soldiers, they die more and kill less. They are bad overall for the military and the country. It just seems that if someone is willing to die in a war for their country, then would also want to serve in the most helpful way.

ace you said "I have an MBA in Political Science from Seton Hall University"

is there such a thing as Graduate Business administration degree from Seton hall in political science? So I guess you attended the W. Paul Stillman school of busines then at Seton Hall. What was your LSAT score. Kayz I am also interested in what your MCAT was.

My MCAT was a 27 (9V, 9P,9B with a Q in the writing section). I also graduated as a double major in biological sciences and biochemistry with a cumulative GPA of 3.921. I never had less than a "B" in any class, and never had anything less than an "A" in science and/or math classes.

I should have done better on my MCAT, but I never seem to do well on standardized tests, plus I was burnt out at that point.

As I posted in another thread, I would have no problem serving except that I am "physically unable to perform" under military standards. When I was in high school, I broke my neck (Atlas to be exact). At the age of 15, I had 3 docs wanting to fuse my top 5-6 vertebrae. Fortunately, I found a doctor who wanted to explore other options first and they have worked out okay. However, I will recieve monthly treatment for the rest of my life.

So, even if I wanted to serve, I could not.

Upon graduating high school, I came very close to going to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. I had Congressman Hobson, then Lieutenant Governor Dewine, and then Governor Voinovich willing to write me letters of recommendation. But, I did not want a life in which I moved every 3-4 years. It just wasn't me either.

You say that alot, Kayz. Do you really mean it? Uhhh, the part about how no opinion is right or wrong. I'll tell you what, every "opinion" that I hold I hold to be 100% right and true as I would not hold it otherwise. what's the point of believing in something if you don't believe it to be true.

YOu may be entitled to an opinion that is different from mine, but you're still a dumb ass who has not seen the light. ;) :D
