what's up guys? Anyone train any strongman? I've been watching Brian Alsruhe on YouTube and Been really looking into it lately. Not to compete, just for the full body strength and conditioning.

Trying to figure out a way to incorporate the training into a conventional gym type settting. I'm most likely going to have to invest in some things like tires and such for home.

So anyone else? Also, anyone ever made any of their stuff?

i have not, but my gym has anything you could possibly need for it. ive really been thinking about possibly doing a strongman comp in 2018.

you could use a trap bar for farmer carries. depends on the strongman comp youre competeing in because they all have different events

I use two 6.5gallon jerry cans full of water for my farmers carries, got a bit ass loader tire from a concrete plant scrap area for free, took a 3inch rope from a barge hookup that was too warn out to tie the barge, use a regular truck tire for your keg tossing and either buy a heavy ass kettle bell or dumbbell then set up a circuit.

Hell yeah dude. There's a lot of farms around, I wanna find a tractor tire.

Thanks for the advice bro

Tire needs to come up near your knee when it's on its side. I got two at the house one lighter one heavy, drill a few holes in them to keep water out. You can get the tires for free and get a cheap sledge hammer for cardio.;)
I think you can get the molds for atlas stones online pretty cheap if you wanted to get that into it.

I got the sledge, I'm just looking for those damn tires. It's proving rather difficult, even with all the farms here. Haha

I'd love to get in to stones, but I wanna wait till I have my own land first. I'm renting right now, unfortunately.

Even minus stones, the tires and other supplies will hold me over for a bit.

Good tip about drilling the holes. I'm sure I would've gotten pissed one day in the future haha

Call any of the tire places in your area and ask if they have any heavy implement tires they want to get rid of. Most places jump at the chance.
