Stopped lurking, joined up - introducing myself.

Hi,

I'm Raww, 56 years old and a reforming fat guy.

With a combination of gastric sleeve surgery and GLP-1's I've dropped from 320 to 195. Big win for my health. Was a high school athlete and was pretty active and worked out throughout my 20's and 30's. Mid-thirties and I changed careers. New career is about the most unhealthy lifestyle ever. On call, random hours day and night, long work shifts, poor sleep - and sedentary. Between that, getting married and having a couple kids - I lost focus and let shit go.

Stepped on the scale one day and saw that 300 number and decided it was time to change.

Along with the diet changes, of course come exercise and fitness. And the more weight I lost, the more I enjoyed seeing more muscle showing through.

Been on TRT for about 5 years. Currently 100mg Test C a week split e3.5. My Tot T runs around 600-800 on that dose with Free T about 150.

Been lurking here for a bit and learning. Did a little blast last year. Nothing much, just have extra T piled up and thought I bump up my dose to 200mg a week for a few weeks and see how I reacted. Seemed fine, no sides. Probably didn't run it long enough, but I'm pretty conservative about these things.

Earlier this year I did another blast. 11 weeks total, titrated up for two weeks to 400mg/wk split e3.5. Didn't do labs during. Didn't feel any sides. Have resolved that my next blast will have labs during.

Anyway, that's me. Still lurking and learning but wanted to make my introduction. This is me at about 260 before surgery and right after I dropped below 200 late last year.

Year2.webp

Congratulations on your weight loss. It’s good to see so many guys in our age range starting to prioritize their health. Good luck with the journey, it sounds like you’re already on the right track.

Nice job. Keep it up, bruh.

Excellent

Get them before, and during.... and after.

Lots of good info on what tests to get, and where to get them can be found in this topic:

Sorry, should have added that I did have labs prior and a bit after - part of my docs regular blood sucking schedule. I'm just missing the data on what was going on during.

Was reading that sub yesterday and did glean that there are a few tests I haven't been getting that I want.
