Steroids, Gynecomastia and Gyno Surgery

Seen three people have gyno surgery done, the first one left with visibly dented nipples pointing inwards, the second one left with some serious scar tissue that made the chest look like shit, and the third one looked good.

All three had it done at the same Doctor. So it's roll of a dice.... i rather have a little gyno showing than risk my chest looking like the first two.

I’ve still got a bit of that teenage gyno hanging around. It doesn’t really bother me, but I’m thinking of getting it removed purely for aesthetics. Here in California, the prices are insane - anywhere from $4,000 to $12,000 depending on the complexity. Last year, I flew back to one of the CIS countries, and they quoted me $500 to $1,200 for the same procedure. With flights and accommodation included, it’s still cheaper than doing it in CA. Might as well call it a “vacation package” - sun, local food, and a side of chest upgrade.

You want it done correctly, because if done incorrectly you’ll be left wishing you spent even 15,000.

Vigorous Steve spoke highly of his doctors in Thailand. I'd guess looking for providers around bodybuilding meccas, who have dealt with a lot of BB clients, would be the way to ensure your surgeon is experienced doing this surgery for people who a) prioritize aesthetics and b) need absolutely every single fucking speck of gland removed so it's one and done.

Hate to break it to you, but U.S. doctors aren’t some magical wizards with scalpels. Yeah, the equipment is shiny, salaries fat, but I’ve seen surgeons in Europe, Russia, Ukraine, and Asia do the same work - if not better and for a fraction of the price. The key isn’t the country, it’s finding a real specialist… which, let’s be honest, in 2025 is easier than finding natty guys at Gold’s Gym.

I never said American doctors are magical wizards, I said make sure you get it done correctly and stop prioritizing your wallet over a surgery done correctly.
If you want to spend 900$ on a gyno surgery go right ahead buddy.

I’m saying this with love, not offense - I’d keep this back-and-forth going if you’d ever stepped outside the U.S. to see what real medical standards look like elsewhere. If you’re happy to bend over for $10K here when the same job gets done for $1-2K abroad - that’s your personal kink, not mine.

You keep putting words into my mouth. I never said there wasn’t good practice elsewhere.
But you also said you can get the same procedure done for $500 ?
A surgeon doing an actual surgery for the price of a load of groceries should maybe ring some bells in your head.

Yes, that’s correct - I’ve had quotes between $500 and $1,000 in Russia, Ukraine, and a few Central Asian countries. You’re calling it ‘groceries’ only because you’ve never seen how healthcare operates outside the U.S. Here, surgeons rake in $150K+ a year and every procedure is inflated with insane overhead costs. Over there, doctors don’t go into medicine for money - most of them genuinely want to help people, because big paychecks are rare unless you’re in a high-end private clinic.

And believe me, I’ve seen plenty of guys pay $10K+ in the U.S. and still walk away with terrible results. Price doesn’t equal quality.

No offense, but it’s tough to have this conversation with someone who’s never seen how medicine works in other countries and that’s fine. If it makes you sleep better to drop 10K on the same surgery, go for it - your wallet, your choice.

I’d suppose you just live in multiple countries at once and get numerous surgeries eh, What an amazing thing it is to know a guy who personally knows medicine and vigorously pursues foreign medical practices I’m so blessed to have the conversation with such a scholar.
Again, I’m not the one debating on having a $500 surgery, so.
It’s your BODY your choice.

Russia or Ukraine could work, but from Denmark that’s a long trip, and the language barrier might be an issue. I’d look more at Lithuania, Czech Republic, or Poland. For example, Clinicus in Lithuania lists €1,800–2,400 just for the surgery (not sure if that includes a full package with hotel and aftercare). In the Czech Republic, prices are usually €2,000–5,000, depending on the complexity of the procedure and what exactly needs to be done. Poland is in the same range - around €3,000–5,000 for a full package.

Even with flights and accommodation, it’s still cheaper than the 5K in Denmark. Lithuania and Czech are pretty popular right now for these surgeries among foreigners.

If you decide to go for it in Moscow, Kyiv, or Astana, let me know - I can recommend good surgeons there.

poland might be a good option since i have some friends from there i could probably go with them. i do not plan on getting this surgery recently, but within the next 5 years for sure. have to lay off a christmas vacation or something for it.

also i would have to withdraw a large sum of cash and bring it with me to russia, and take a detour since no european country allows flights to russia. they make our life hard because of a war we arent involved in...

i've basically decided i will choose them or poland when its time for it. either kazahkstan or i will go to poland if i can convince my friend to go with me

I agree, I think that Turkey and Thailand have good cosmetic surgeons – people travel there and save tremendously. The unlucky few – and note, I’ve seen instances of people bleeding out and needing blood transfusions in the US for a tonsillectomy! – will always fall prey to those who say, “told ya so” though. Maybe that helps to guide the destination surgeons towards a higher standard – reputation. They don’t get any assumption of it, and they have to fight like hell to get it, and more yet to maintain it.

The real point is that any surgery comes with a waiver because there are very real risks any time someone cuts you open!

i also think from a logical standpoint, do you think the guy from turkey who went private to not make 2-3k a month but 3-4k with 250-500$ usd bonuses with each succesful surgery will take you more seriously or the private surgeon in america making 20k-32k+ a month?

if you tell him you're on anabolic steroids and you want most of the gland removed as possible better believe that turkish guy is digging every last piece out there is.

I honestly don’t know the answer, I’ve always thought that different people respond differently to financial incentives above basic subsistence levels.

If someone needs to do something to not be physically hungry, there’s a strong incentive – but between one surgeon and another, I really don’t know, I think those things are individual TBH!
