We all know bulking is bulking (test, Deca, Dbol etc) and cutting is cutting (test,tren, mast) regardless of sport.
What I'm interested in is the specialization and powerlifting specific strategies for powerlifting, meet prep cycles, bulkers, strength only/no weight gain, plateau busters,Loosing weight going into a meet, etc. Also the reasoning behind it. Of course much of this depends on the individual but I think powerlifters and even strongman/woman run stuff much different compared to the average gym rat or pro/amateur bodybuilder .
What is everyones experiences? Whats your go to? What separates powerlifters from bodybuilding in the dosing , compounds selected, time frame of use relative a persons goals?

Powerlifting cycles don't tend to be overly complicated. I think you'll find moderate to high test dosages, possibly some deca or something which will be run continually leading up to a meet. A few weeks out you'll see the addition of harder androgens like tren, halo, and other orals.

Powerlifting cycles aren't going to change a lot over time unless the dosages are going up leading into a meet. Switching things up just a little bit can really mess things up.
 
High test and deca/NPP with HGH is where it's at. I prefer ending Anavar because dbol and drol give me too many sides. Had good results throwing in low dose superdrol with the var a couple years ago and trying that combo again this meet. I've run tren leading into meets a couple times, but I'm leaving it out this time.

I'm finding I have better results when I feel good and I'm not needing stuff like blood pressure medication and just needing minimal AI. Honestly some of the best strength gains I've had were short cycles with just fairly low test and orals. Haven't tried it yet with a meet though.
 
Far as strongman goes, it's all about strength and endurance. Tren is out most of the time.

A lot of guys I know usually cruise year round, blast at .5-1g. Deca and Dbol are the most common additions, Halo and Adrol also being popular.

Had a few guys swear by Test/Dbol/Proviron.

TNE is super common on comp days unless it's a tested comp. I dont think they really test outside of Platinum Plus comps and Qualifiers though.

So basically only shows that have a Pcard on the line.
 
I like 1g a week test for 16 weeks at least up to 26 weeks 20 to 30mg halo 1 hour pre workout for 3 weeks upto meet. On meet day 40mg halo. I have heard of using test suspension a few times on meet day with D bol and Halo, but havent tried it. There is also a substance called cheque drops which is super liver toxic.
 
Im about to experiment with some off season stuff soon. Im thinking a hard 10 week blast with 400 test P, first 4 weeks 150 a day of Anadrol, 400 Tren last 8 weeks. Then run the high test 1g a week cycle. by the time you add Halo in you should be detoxed from tren and A bombs.

It seems to be universally accepted that winstrol is too harsh on joints so nobody really uses it.

Personally I don’t do well on orals, always tend to feel like shit and drop them after 2-3 weeks, I wonder if rotating would work?

Do you really feel that nandrolone adds that much strength? I'm on my second run with it now using low test. My first run was with 750 test so of course I felt strong. Curious if you think the addition of nandrolone adds much strength.

I do, and NPP more so than Deca. I used to run 4-600 test and 2-300 of deca just about every time I ran test. Id get good strength gains but seemed like deca was better for size.
I threw in 200mg/wk npp on a “cruise” with 200 test and my strength flew up quickly, put numbers on all my lifts and have kept it.

Nice. I got the feeling that high test was what carried my last cycle. I'm only a few weeks in on this one so I haven't had time to evaluate whether or not NPP can carry the load.

Var , tbol- nausea, lethargic, fatigue, irritated

Dbol- feel decent on it but bloat , hard to control estro and back pumps

Used glutamine for the stomach stuff but it didn’t do much.

I know some say taurine for the back pumps

I'm running 750mg test with 500mg deca currently and I'm eating till I'm sick every day and I'm feeling really strong this cycle. My body feels good for how hard I'm training, too.
 
Back pumps are shitty. Have you ever tried Anadrol? It packs some strength gains for sure. I dont do any orals except Anadrol, and Halo. Halo is harsh in its own way. Start at 10 a day for first week then 20 for another to see how it effects you. Mixed with Tren it can be quite insane.

I started my cycle after a month off. I'm about 3 weeks in and still getting sore as shit lol.

I get debilitating back pumps on dbol but I can handle 100 mgs/day of anadrol fine. I love it.

Ive heard and read many times that most dudes are the same way and strongly prefer one to the other.

I think I'll hold off on the Halo for the time being, I can see using it in the future.

Tren is fucking great for strength. I was dieting , lost 15 lbs and probably put 50-60 lbs on my total from just 250 tren a week with a cruise dose test. It wasnt horrible for sides but I didnt feel great on it either like I do with test. Sleep was okay but could have been better, body temp was through the roof.

Yea man, I got some drol on deck. Probably give it a whirl since I got a meet in 6 weeks.
