It was explained earlier in the thread. The stopper is never removed, so sterility is maintained.
And he bought an expensive decrimper to be able to do this, which I appreciate.
I imagine it’s two things… 1, to add a cap, and 2, filling from the side prevents the piercing from being exposed.
This is my guess. I looked into it, and I don't think it yields any greater sterility or longevity of the product by doing this. Appears to be purely cosmetic. But I'm no expert, that's why I asked.
