Alright, gather ‘round, folks—your boy went off the grid for a hot minute and basically turned into a human carb casserole. I went AWOL, ate myself into what could generously be described as a coma (probably literally), and ended up like a 1:10 scale Michelin Man. Over the years, I packed on a shameful amount of weight, and my health said “fuck you” back—T2 diabetes, cholesterol playing Russian roulette, high blood pressure, sleep apnea—you name it, I had it. And all of this while being a towering 5’2” tiny tub of shame. Yeah, you can do the math.

Finally, when I hit 240 lbs, I threw the fork down and shit got real. The past 12-16 months? Rediscovering how to eat without immediately regretting it and falling back in love with the gym like a bad ex you can’t quit. Got my TRT finally dialed in (after years of it wandering around like a lost puppy), lost 75 lbs, and currently rocking 165 with abs that are kinda there (a few of them anyways).

On the way down, I dipped my toes into my first cycle: a standard 12-week 350mg test, finished with some anavar. Probably not my brightest idea, since I was still above 30% BF at the time, but I kept my expectations realistic: preserve muscle, push strength, and maybe look like less of a sweaty donut in the gym. It worked. Surprisingly, nothing exploded, no disasters, and I exceeded my own expectations.

Now, I’m scheming my next round: test/mast. Why? Two reasons:
  1. Real talk, I want to cut more than bulk. I’m not trying to turn into the Hulk.
  2. Everyone raves about how amazing mast feels. I want in on that millionaire-in-my-own-bed energy, minus the shitty sides that come with other compounds.
Ratios? I’ve read everything. 2:1, 1:2, 9:7… I’m leaning 375 test / 250 mast. Yes, the numbers are weird, but math works out perfectly with what I’ve got on hand, and I am cheap as hell. 1ml 3x/week, a stockpile of 100 syringes, and probably a few leftover prayers to the steroid gods. Thoughts, wisdom, horror stories? Plan is 16 weeks starting Wednesday through Christmas. Might toss in anavar at the end if I’m feeling frisky, but that’s still up in the air. I toyed with the idea of kicking things off with 5 weeks of Anavar, giving my liver a pity break with 6 weeks off in the middle, then slapping on another 5 weeks at the end… but the consensus online is starting with anavar then stopping mid cycle is lame. Who knew taking care of my organs could be such a buzzkill?” Honestly though, if that's the case I might just finish off with some.

Bloodwork? Most recent stuff from my TRT doc is attached. Surprisingly chill this time—he skipped lipids (probably saw the sad state I was in last check and said, “nah, let’s not”). Hematocrit and estrogen have been the chronic villains since starting TRT, so it was nice to see them behaving for once.

Diet-wise: been in a deficit for over a year (with scheduled cheat breaks so I don’t lose my goddamn mind). Current maintenance until cycle kicks off in September. Deficit days: 1700 kcal, ~160g protein, fat-heavy, low carb, one glorious 2000 kcal refeed per week. Took over a year to lose 75 lbs, but as I got stronger and gym intensity went up, progress sped up. Work complicates food tracking (remote mine site 14/14, cafeteria roulette), but I bring my own stash like a responsible, protein-obsessed squirrel.

Training: 5-day split, 3 upper / 2 lower, incline treadmill 5-6x per week, shooting for 10,000 steps before starting 13-hour desk shifts. Former millwright turned desk zombie. Sleep? 6.5 hours at the mine is a victory lap.

TRT off cycle is: Enanthate, 160mg/week split into two, no AI, no HCG, just testosterone doing its thing.

Supps: Multi, fish oil, zinc, magnesium, ashwagandha, K2/X3 10,000 IU.
Meds: Metformin 1000mg/day, pantoprazole for the stomach, baby aspirin. BP meds & cholesterol meds? Kicked those to the curb once I got serious about the weight loss.

In short: I went from a wheezing human donut to a slightly smaller, still-sarcastic, gym-dork with a plan. Ready for advice, roasts, or tales of steroid horror. Bring it.

from recent personal experience, mast wont do anything at your current look. kind of waste of pinning, ive made same mistake. went from 300/300 to 300/500 and bit more, pseudo low e2, felt like shit, bacne exploded and var gave me better cosmetic effect than mast. sure, ive had no water retention but looked flat.
ive expected magic in vial from it and it was mostly sad experience.
 
agreed, keep the mast for later. Just run test with exemestane/any AI really, Mast just makes people look empty/hollow when bf% isnt low enough. Might make ya sad.

if you REALLY want to add some stuff in, you have the anavar on hand already.

adding in Retatrutide could be something to look at, especially as an aspiring T2D. helps with fatloss too, and is not too expensive nowadays.
Also, when doing 13h shift, try to stay hydrated as best as possible. Big jugs are your friend (hehe). High HCT aint good, especially in combination with dehydration.

Shit, forgot to mention in there, not retatrutide, but I've been on Tirzepatide under prescription from my family doc for quite awhile now. Started on Ozempic right when my A1C got into the 8 range. Had tolerance issues with Ozempic at higher dose, but Tirz has been great for me.
 
Well, Day 1! Actually started the test/mast on the weekend. I'm going to stick with my original plan as I 1. Already have everything purchased, 2. Was mainly going for mast because of it's "feel good" properties and hoping it will help preserve on the way down which leads me to 3. I'm going to do this whole 16 weeks in a deficit. We'll see how it goes

Nice job so far man! Got your work cut out but it looks like youre well on your way to finishing it up. Keep doing what you were doing— youre gonna look like a new man by the end.

Mast is total waste with your body fat though to be honest. Will not make any appreciable difference. And the feel good stuff ime is not true. It’s an anabolic steroid not a rec drug. Guarantee you will get much more out of it when your body is actually in a depleted state, and when you can see it dry you out. With your condition that will not be for months though. With that kind of body fat you’re not going to be looking at a huge decrease in strength because your body is seriously still in a place where it’s in a state of abundance.

Just keeping it 100 with you man.
