How accurately noticed and just exactly as it is.Congrats!
Most Americans spend every penny no matter how much they make and then complain about the 1% holding them back.

A good example is elon musks recent sale of $8.4 billion in tesla stock. As part of his compensation he had an option to buy that stock at $6.40 a share. At the time of his purchase, it was valued at around $1000 a share. Sweet right. When he sold it he sold at $840 a share. As far as the IRS is concerned, they valued that stock at $1000 not what he paid which was $6.40 a share. In fact they see this as a loss since at the time he purchased the stock at $6.40 it was worth $1000, he has a tax right off. He dodged hundreds of millions in tax.Congrats!

There is a difference. See my above post and consider who made that obvious criminal activity perfectly legal. But is it different for us, look at our president - a doll. Who controls them like a puppet. In fact, everything is about the same thing - shadow cardinals.
Note that the information provided is from publications such as fortune and Barron's. In 2021 musk exercised options to buy 23 billion in stock at $6 a share that was valued at $1000. There was no tax due.How accurately noticed and just exactly as it is.
Sure you can get this money from the rich.Note that the information provided is from publications such as fortune and Barron's. In 2021 musk exercised options to buy 23 billion in stock at $6 a share that was valued at $1000. There was no tax due.
It is comforting though to know people like you are looking out for those who know how to avoid paying tax, when most have it taken out of every check or have no tax loopholes.
Bravo! Golf clap.
Never mind. Who cares if the wealthy pay taxes. The middle class will make up the difference eventually. The problem is the government would turn around an spend it on things that do absolutely nothing for the average American.
The choice is those who enrich the most wealthy, who buy the way will cost you much more when the bill comes due, and those who want the working man to subsidize college tuition and who refuse to deal with the border.Or the average cost of an illegal immigrant is at $95K for the first year to this country if you add up all the assistance provided.
Personally I'd rather put food on the table of the poor for pennies on the dollar when compared to the nearly 800 billion we spend making defense contractors rich. It's virtually endless the waste of money

The $33 billion for Ukraine, but a big chunk, $6 billion is going to be used to gain Afghans citizenship.

It's virtually endless the waste of money the government will go through and it will have nothing to show for other than going into the pockets of bureaucrats and the professionals that work for the government.
None of this produces wealth for the nation, it takes money and hands it over to a group of elites that feel entitled to their high salaries for the worthless services they provide.
You'd need an army of extremely conservative bean counters to keep track of government waste, otherwise it's just taxing the rich which I could care less and then handing it over to non-productive members of society.
The top 25% of Americans account for 67% of consumer spendingNever mind. Who cares if the wealthy pay taxes. The middle class will make up the difference eventually.

You are correct. We waste trillions, but we vote for those who refuse to tax those who make the lions share of money in this country and those who want to spend money hand over fist.
Maybe this will change when the working man pays for elections through our tax dollars and not allow corporate America and the rich to buy politicians on the cheap when you consider how much they benifit subverting our system of government.
Didn't quite understand what you meant?Note that the information provided is from publications such as fortune and Barron's. In 2021 musk exercised options to buy 23 billion in stock at $6 a share that was valued at $1000. There was no tax due.

I looked, and who do you think is interesting in the course of your thoughts. There is a difference. See my above post and consider who made that obvious criminal activity perfectly legal.
And here I agree and understand the essence. With this I fully agree.Sure you can get this money from the rich.

That's right, time will tell. I wish this was all over.i don’t know either but i recently had a dream where zelenskyy gave up/surrendered and his head was down and he was looking sad, so idk if this will happen or not but time will tell
I am not sure what that has to do with what I posted.A good example is elon musks recent sale of $8.4 billion in tesla stock. This is a perfect example of how they buy the people who right our tax laws and you get fucked up your ass.

I actually called my accountant over this. The difference in the strike price and the actual value is taxable. I stand corrected.Did you know all this and leave it out of your description to fool the rest of us
I'd rather eat crow. I'm not dishonest just mistaken. You showed me I was wrong and I confirmed it.Wow.
That is NOT how you are supposed to act on Meso. You are supposed to call me names and say I am stupid.
Excellent and detailed description. Thanks, everything is in place now. And really huge taxes. This is factually wrong.
Elon Musk WAS ALREADY TAXED on the price difference between $6.40 and $1000. His liability for 2021 was $11 billion.
So why do you think he should be taxed AGAIN when he sells them?
The actual value was $1000. He paid $6.40. The difference was taxable. He paid the tax already (again, $11 billion).
So, no, when he now sells them below the $1000 value (the new tax basis after paying taxes), he does not owe taxes a second time. Why should he? If he sold them for MORE than $1000, then he would owe more tax.
Did you know all this and leave it out of your description to fool the rest of us, or did you really not understand the entire tax picture and were just being honest in missing the real tax situation?
By the way, Barrons reported this, and you mentioned Barrons, so it was in an article you read, but you simply read past it, or, perhaps, chose not to share that part with everybody here at Meso because pointing out that Musk paid $11 billion in taxes does not fit your theme about the rich buying politicians and subverting the tax system to benefit themselves.
$11 billion is the highest tax ever paid by an individual American ever in history.
I sure hope this was an honest mistake on your part.
Do we need this scene or is it just another money laundering scam? And that $11 billion will be flushed down the toilet as fast as possible.
We've got a long line of grifters working for the government that create scams programs that are supposed to help Americans and then they run off with the money.
$11 billion would build 550 miles of a border wall when we really need it.
